I snagged a LIFT 33, I love it! I chose this over the Alpha x because I liked the draw better which is more consistent and it eases into a rock solid backwall.
Nice video. I have watched so many videos of guys shooting a 29.5 vs 33 and almost every single time you can see how hard the 29.5 dumps into the back wall. The whole bow jars so much more and makes it hard to settle in. I shot both at my shop and immediately knew the 33 was the way to go for me. That bow is about as smooth and steady as it gets.
I plan on picking up a 29.5 in the spring. The shot sense has me excited. The lightweight feature and the 80# are all good enough to make me upgrade from a V3. 29.5 just seems like the best all around size for my hunting style. Up the mountains, up trees, and stalking across open ground.
If you want to pick one up in the spring… May want to order now. My dealer just stated his last bulk order is now pushed back until May. It is only going to get longer!
Just ordered my LIFT 33. Graduating from a VXR 31.5, so I’m looking forward to the longer riser and added stability. I hunt elk etc in NM and rarely in a tree stand or blind. Occasionally I’ll hunt whitetails in Kansas from a blind my 31.5 is a tight fit so I’ll probably need a bigger blind for the 33 😂 we will see. Either way TOP NOTCH video! Love it. You could add on screen data next time. Ie Lift 33 w/420 = x FPS etc. I really wanted to hear the differences with these two specifically. This re enforces my decision to go with the 33. I gotta wait till March though for the custom order 😆🤦♂️
I'm 5'8 190lbs. I prefer the 29.5 after I test shot both of them. I haven't seen the vid yet, so I'm curious as to the reasons beyond "feel!" I like the 29.5 for weight and compactness, especially when in awkward shooting positions.
I’m a smaller guy with a 27” v3, 70lb with 27” draw. I have shot the 29.5” lift also I can say I’m don’t with the shorter bows. I’m constantly floating and never consistent on anchor. If I get on a 31”-33” it’s night and day difference.
I'm thinking your speeds are way off. Those Chronos don't do well in dark places. I shot the 33 with a 480 grain arrow and was getting around 284. My ventum 33 at 66 lbs with a 400 grain arrow is shooting 295. Try outside next time.
It’s been accurate in there, but yeah maybe I’ll give it another shot. Each bow seemed to be right with speed. The rx8 at 70 shot 315 same place same day
Really appreciate the side by side comparison of 29.5 vs 33 because I naturally gravitate to short AtA bows and the dramatically light weight on the 29.5 temps me, but having a direct comparison of both at same draw length and weight really helps highlight the differences and makes me excited to not just shoot the 29.5 and call it good, but now really looking forward to shooting the 33 and decide which I shoot better and then compare that to some of the other flagship bows out for this year. I’m biased to Mathews as well so trying hard to not decide on a bow till I find out which one I shoot best. Overall great video, really appreciate it!
Lift 33 for me... better string angle. It shot well but still waiting to see what inventory comes into the shops. I also like the Rx8 Ultra, but for the difference in price it's pretty hard to beat
@@HaxenHunt might want to double check those draw weights to see why there was 12fps between 29.5 and 33. The 33 isn't meant to be super fast, but it's fast enough. Better speeds than an RX8 Ultra and a more stable platform than the 29.5
No comparison...had the Omnia, the ethos is a flop...shot the lift 33....sold the elite....cant beat the back wall, longer riser, very stable...a ton of changes to such a positive direction.....bought the 33..
Sheesh that 500gr arrow should’ve been going 290 with a 348 ibo….15 under its rating….like every review I keep seeing. I’ll stick with my fortis for now, i get 272 with a 500gr at 29/70.8….
@@HaxenHunt should do a video on the fps loss with different fletchings! i tested some back to back with qad and whisker biscuit and got anywhere from 3 to 8 fps loss depending on the fletchings and arrow weight. same bow, draw weight and length for control.
