I use to see my older cousins using the leaves to boil maizecobs or dried leaves to make baskets, they taught me how to.upcountry is so inovative my older cousins mostly gals taught me how to make ropes from sisal leaves n mats from a loom used as carpets.even long napier grass was used to wash dishes n cook tea with masala.n when coring powder was finished they taught me how to use ash from firewood to wash cooking pots clean.
