Molela Village is famous for its terracotta art and crafts. Molela village is about 50 kilometres away from Udaipur,Rajasthan. The history of this village, situated amidst the Aravalli mountain ranges, is more than 800 years old. Many artists live here. One of these famous artists is Mohan Lal Kumhar, who has gained national and international recognition.
Until 50 years ago, the craftsmen here made idols only for the Bhil and Garasia tribes, but today the idols made here are also used in modern decorations.
