In this video we will create an insert ring design ring from start to finish. It is pretty easy to make, and we will be using gem placer in order to line up the stones on the ring and size them as well. We will also use Prong on surface to add a few extra prongs to the design. If you are just starting out in 3D printing, I would recommend going with one of these printers at a low cost and get familiar with the printing and adding supports and then maybe level up to a faster and higher priced printer. You could have created on offset of the inverted u-shape to create the insert cutout on the center piece. It has the added benefit of leaving more room for the top of the finger, which you didn't account for.

HI, at 6:42 when I apply extract surface command, I just get one curved surface detached, in video you have two surface and you hid the second one. Pls help how did you get the other surface?

When I made that surface I accidentally made two surfaces because I have a bad habit of clicking twice from using the old matrix program. You did it correctly you should only get one.

Actually, no I didn't. Usually when something goes wrong when I'm working on something unless it's really major I just chalk it up to user error which it usually is. But I will do that. Good advice. Thanks!!

It is not really a bug. The placement goes from -100% to+100% via dragging. If you want to place it higher or lower than that, you'll have to input value manually in the dynamic command window on the right.
