I remember hearing this on the radio in the late 80’s while driving around town. I thought it sounded like Basia and when I found it was her as lead vocals on Matt Bianco, had to have it!!! My favorite of all time!!! ❤❤❤

She had an angel voice... and this version is even better than the record...
I saw her in concert twice. The second time I was close to the stage. I could see her up close so, take my word for it, she's quite beautiful. Her backing musicians are spectacular and her singing is divine.
I have been a Basia fan from the moment I heard her. I have two older brothers. The oldest is not a fan, but brother number two, Steve? We love Basia and ultimately saw her perform in 2011 at Bimbo's in San Francisco. It was one of the best performances I have ever attended, and being there with my brother Steve made it even better. He and I were not close growing up and he was, in fact, a bully. We did not see eye to eye on much of anything until he started introducing me to music. I didn't realize at that time that he was trying to bond with me and make amends. To this day, we share music with each other, and I appreciate that gift he gave me; the gift of forgiving my brother and loving him. Basia helped make that bond possible!
This song holds an absolute very special spot in my Sambabossalicious Hall of Fame. The Cuica, Piano, Bossa Guitar and Sax's sexiest, classiest and finest collab! This song always make me feel happy, notwithstanding the not-so-happy break-up lyrics 😀

Wow was that a tight performance. Was it actually live? It seemed to be, but Basia's vocals were backed by either herself,, or somone who wasn't on camera. Regardless, fantastic.
There's a video of her and the Matt Bianco song "Who's Side Are You On", she has short hair sunglasses and a very chic black and white dress. Way back when we were all young!
