They wrestled a legit match and the violence just adds to the story telling or I guess "phycology" of the match. I love when hit gage with the light tube and winced. He was making it obvious he doesn't belong there which added to his heat and the match itself. Nice little touch

Ok Matt Cardona as Zack Ryder in the WWE definitely had the better attires and better entrance but this is what we needed from Zack Ryder in the WWE the major push and the long iconic matches sadly we never got that.
I gotta give respect to cardona for this you have to think about the fact that pretty much the majority of his wwe career it was pg and he was rarely in any hardcore type matches and rarely if ever bled.
Actually watching the end, the first few rows are being pelted as well. Not sure why fans would do that but just seems dumb overall. Good for matt but the fans were stupid

And then when you're all cut up, see what one light tube busted over all that feels like, let alone 20 of them, and tell me how you feel after it all!! Not a lot of WWE wrestlers come down of their cloud and perform a match like this one, was it a technical match? no it wasn't, was it a 5 star match? no it wasn't, but the guy went really hard at it against one of the most brutal wrestlers nowadays and won so at least for me that´s why i respect him
Well, because first he is a Heel and never related to deathmatches at all is more into the atletic style, Gage in GCW is a hero they love him for his deathmatches more from his ring skill. and you know GCW wil never want a WWE superstar wins over his hero so thats it. Personally i dont like how the crowd reacts (throwing garbage) i know your mad because his the heel but is not necessary to do that

@@jimh.412 maybe it’s not about the money . There was a good 2000 fans there. Maybe , just maybe wrestlers just like wrestling . You know , practicing their craft. Also you say death match wrestling is garbage . But you fail to realize there are many , many types of styles of wrestling . Wrestling for different markets of fans. Death match, strong style, technical , brawls, lucha , comedy , submission and many more. The beauty of wrestling , there is no right or wrong way of doing things. Those 2,000 fabs loved the death match and gcw is a fast growing company and that is what matters.
Not a fan of death matches, I can really only watch them once in a blue moon, but I got a ton of respect for the people who put themselves through this shit just to put on a show. Death matches are not for normal men or women, you gotta really be into that craft and still be able to shake hands after you do your business.
If you had told me 10 years ago that Zack Ryder would be wrestling deathmatches, I'd laugh at your face. Comes to show anyone in the wrestling business can reinvent themselves so long as they have the motivation. Hell, who knows, maybe 10 years from now Otis is a Hardcore Legend in GCW
Perhaps I'm looking way to into this but to Me I see the story of the typical wwe baby face stepping in world of the indie baby face and a battle of contrast
The cuts aren't that deep, and they knew where they can hit each other with the light tube, It gonna be painful, you are gonna bleed but the amount of stress in your body in one match like this is equal to have 6 or 7 shows in a week, giving and receiving hits as in a WWE schedule
Gcw is great, still feel like the stabbing is a bit torture porny tho, think the smashing over their heads is enough. Slicing and jabbing makes me feel like I shouldn’t be enjoying what I’m watching

The only part about this match I like is that Matt/Zack won. Other than that. Matt should not be taking the beating and dominance he took in this match. This does not suit Matt at all.
GCW could be good. They need to get medical staff. They need to get better security, and they need to hire good talent. I’m not talking about these guys, but some of the people on their promotion are way too amateur Also, they need to stop booking matches where is female versus male that to me is truly disgusting to watch
