Let’s all be honest we start all over again this season. New manager, new squad and new system. Nobody knows who the starting/best 11 is, except maybe 2 players. Average player age is probably 20/21. So like last year come January we be at best 6th but probably more likely 10th or 11th. So it’ll be another year of “we’re building for the future”. Although I like the new shirts I’m not going to buy any Chelsea stuff until we’re back in the Champions League!

Apparently we need to sell our academy players to comply with some financial policy. Why then do we immediately spend the Gallagher money (and much more) on more players? Surely if we need to sell then we shouldn't buy? I don't get it.

I get the feeling this situation with osimhen is tactical from Chelsea, got samu in so don’t necessarily need osimhen, we have lukaku who Napoli want, osimhen wants to leave, psg need to sell one of their two 100 million strikers who they’ve only had a year and will take a big hit on in order to make room for osimhen. We are backing osimhen into a corner so the only option is a loan which suits us perfectly. My opinion, I could be wrong but I think this goes to the end of tv window unless someone else comes along with 100 million for osimhen. Chelsea can also other other players as well as lukaku, perhaps casadei perhaps chalobah, perhaps broja, plenty of options there but I believe the issue is osimhen at the moment not wanting a loan but when he raised its loan of bust he will take the loan

For Matt Law: have you not heard anything about Chalobah in relation to the sports psychologist they hired to come in and judge the players in the locker room? They gave him the long extension. They had issues in the locker room. They hired the specialist from the All Blacks to find the sources of the issues, and then immediately afterward Chalobah goes to being offered for sale the first time. The international loan situation is fascinating/concerning. We have signed three players to immediately fill half of the Int'l loan spots (Anselmino, Wiley, Penders), have sent Andrey to Strasbourg and still have Kepa, Lukaku, Angelo, Moreira, DDF, Slonina who filled spots last year; plus likes of Guiu, Washington, Ugochukwu, Veiga who may benefit from one. There will be a lot of players who don't get a spot, and a number of them who either don't suit Championship loans, or may not be of interest to clubs. I wonder if filling the International loans would be a tactic to force Napoli into buying Lukaku rather than doing a loan as well?
