Lineker openly objected to Qatar holding the World Cup yet still went there to report on the football. His reasoning was that he was there to report on the football yet he could have told his employers that it would by highly hypocritical he went. He, like all of the European football players who objected to Qatar knew for 4 years where they were going yet non of them turned the ‘gig’ down, because of the football. If he left the BBC he could with the help of other like minded celebs build accommodation for the migrants preferably next to his own home and then wonder why his new neighbours are all male who in asking for asylum have abandoned their families unlike the thousands of the ‘luckier’ Jewish children during WW11 who were sent west by their parents and relatives who in turn went to concentration camps .
Funny how most of these traumatised “refugees” are young males eh! All smiles as they file into hotels while the women, children, old folks were all left behind in the “terrible” conditions these men ran from. None of this bothers linekar and his pals apparently

The hypocrisy comes from the BBC not penalising him for his views on Qatar but now penalising him for speaking out about the government of the country he lives and works in. The BBC didn't have a problem with him having an onion on Qatar, and they have no problem with their presenter Alan Sugar telling the public not to vote for Labour

Matt ale Tissier is such a great guy, he was the most under appreciated player of his era who only didn’t achieve more because of his fierce loyalty to the club which gave him his big break. He speaks sense and has good morals I stand with him on this shoulder to shoulder.

Not wearing a BLM badge, even back then anyone who made a slight bit of effort knew what the BLM organization was about. BLM existed long before George Floyd and is a socialist movement. I watched MOTD for the first time in years last night (Sat 11th March) and found it very enjoyable! I think it lasted 20 minutes and was all the highlights of the matches with no commentary or punditry, which just goes to show how much hot-air from the 'pundits' is used to fill in the allotted time slot! Please keep this great new format and save the tax-payer a couple of £million to boot.

Soccer Saturday with Matt, Jeff, Phil, Charlie and kammy was just brilliant tv. A winning formula, loved by all football fans.. a tv stations dream.. attracted plenty of viewers etc.. they sacked them and changed it completly because it wasnt diverse. Crazy.

Matt LeTissier was a much better footballer than Lineker and Wright. As a human being he is head and shoulders above the likes of Lineker. I will watch match of the day tomorrow but will stop again once Lineker returns. I think the BBC suspended him because of the loss of potential license fees over his absurd opinions.
