Michael Schenker is a living legend. I was very fortunate to meet UFO when the “Force It” album came out. I brought my album to a show and all the members of UFO signed it. Phil Mogg, Michael Schenker, Pete Way, and Andy Parker, It is one of my most prized possessions.

An absolute Legend of rock music. Many famous metal guitarists of the 80s and 90s have very high regards for this Man. He seems to have overcame his trouble past and is looking better with age. Congratulations on a great career MS!

His attitude and outlook is SO positive now. He's very healthy and happier than ever in these last years. Somehow, he's found it, peace and understanding in where he belongs in the world. I wish we all had that!

Incredibly talented guitarist who was never interested in being famous, just being as one with the music. Someone once referred to Michael as " mercurial ".........and I'd say they were spot on.

Saw Michael Schenker Fest live in 2019... never seen a happier guitar god... and WHAT a player he is! At his age, to play 2.5 to 3 hours is a feat in and of itself. And I agree with another poster that he blew off Jimi Hendrix's guitar.. not interested in the past and/or any of the memorabilia... He just loves what he does and he is more of an innovator than anything else. His work on the Strangers in the Night album alone was stunning.... ROCK ON MICHAEL!

One of the greats if not the greatest melodic masters of metal in my lifetime. His work with UFO belongs in vaults of rock history so a thousand years from now it can be examined and admired by future societies

Just saw him a couple nights ago. This man is amazing talent. He's gotten better like fine Wine.

Saw UFO several times in their prime and Michael's guitar was so powerful and unique. A GOAT of the 70's rock Gods, for sure. UFO is underrated in my opinion. Phil Moog was a very good front man, too.

Guitars are just tools, Michael never idolized them or collected them and during his Gibson years he had no more than a couple of Flying V to be played , period. He's truly the real deal, he doesn't care about any super advanced equipment, he needs just an amplifier and a wah pedal, the magic has always been in his hands.

Mike inspired so many guitar players from the 80's-90's. All of them really.

One of the true greats in my opinion, He's had his ups & downs, but he's been true to his beliefs and against all odds too, He just lives for guitar playing period and a great inspiration to us all and has never stopped Rockin his socks off. Respect!

Amazing. Michael seems to be one of the most human, and coolest rock guitar players from germany. I'm a big fan of his playing, and uniqueness as a human being, and artist. It's not mere coincidence that he's considered to be one of the most influential blues rock guitar players from Europe, together with the almight Gary Moore.

Back in 2002, I got to meet Michael backstage at the after-show meet-n-greet autograph signing table when he played at the House Of Blues in Chicago with Uli Jon Roth. Both of those guys are way cool. And talented. 👍🏻

Great guitarist. For me, I loved it when he used to play the Gibson Vs. He's still the wonder kid, Metal Micky.

A couple people have mentioned Michael's failed handshake. If you look down from that hand to the elbow below on that arm you will see he is wearing a tennis elbow brace. Most men experience tennis elbow sometime after they become 50. It is a "repetitive motion" injury. He seems a candidate. I am 56, play guitar and suffered from it for 18 months 2 years ago. The good news is..wearing that simple brace makes the pain go away eventually.
