Hi Matt, that looks to me like an Albright knot that you just did to tie braid to leader, you demonstrated the Albright knot in another video before and it looks exactly the same as this yet you call this a Yucatan.

what is your favourite rod/reel combo for softbait ? im currently using a nasci 4000 + catana nano 1pc 7ft 6-8kg +30lb jbraid thinking of getting the new stradic FL + shadow X nano same type of rod.

Would that knot work with say 50 pound braid to say a light leader of 20 pounds?

Don’t forget to lube all knots, especially braid before clinching

Where I live we only have maybe 20 boats that go offshore. Of them a big sporty, we dont have a name for the second knot, we just know it. Some call it the fisherman’s knot, but most of the time we call call it Bimini to mono and tie it. Use it to connect 60lb braid to 12 or 20 pound mono when White Marlin fishing

What about FG?

Matts loop knot if you have false teeth just use pliers you do not use the FG knot?

Why do you need double braid? Why not connect the leader direct to braid with an FG knot? It's one less knot to tie.
