A neo pro with a serious palmares to her name. For this episode of The Cafe Ride series with Matt Stephens we headed out to the Liege region of Belgium to meet Elynor Backstedt. Learning more about the Gent Wevelgem winner, the step up from the junior category and her favourite place to ride in Wales, we had a blast getting to know the Trek Segafredo rider and we are sure you will too.

I believe it was Matt’s choice to leave to concentrate on his commentary stuff rather than GCN. These videos are brilliant especially the one with Pippa York. GCN still lead the way in cycling though it’s a godsend for cycling fans

What a beautiful Belgian day! Matt you are amazing! And Elynor is such a wonderful young woman with so much talent and personality. She certainly shows a good bit of her dad who is so well respected in cycling and such a great guy. Thanks for the great content and good laughs. And the amazing views of Wales starting @ 8:37. You bloody made my day.... again. Cheers! PS - Taking into account that this was done before the COVID-tainted days began I still can't tell you how videos like this have brightened these somewhat dark and cloistered days for so many of us. Great video. Wish the both of you all the best. On another note which may seem insignificant to some, I was after some touch up paint fir my new specialized crosstrail. After being let down by my bike supplier Sigma Sports sorted it out super quick. Of course I will be repaying them back by future purchases. Lesson to other cycle and sports firms, look after your customers.
