I was 21 when i Lost my dad 3/19…. I’m glade I flew up a year earlier and had a drink with him had a 3 day walleye trip in SD. and that unknowingly would be the last hug I gave him. It was a long hug… so long it felt different. And I think about it a lot thank you for this. 25 now with 1 year old daughter. My dad passed November 9, 2022. Its been a month and I still can't seem to stop crying. His funeral is coming up in a week and I can't seem to write a eulogy worthy of his legacy. This song and video are a wonderful tribute to your father.

My father passed away 2 yeara ago this week. My mother died 20 days before. It was a testament to their love. 68 years of marriage. People ask, "I'm so sorry- how do you deal with that"....I look and smile. I had them for 48 years. All of them good, loving, caring, and nurturing years. I was so lucky in so many ways blessed with 2 loving parents. But they got a chance to see me grow from a boy to a man and it was due to them, 4 grandkids they watched grow to adults. I'm sad- but grateful. Miss you dad!

recently lost my dad at 46; on father's day was the first time I heard this song. on my way to work on Pandora. it was meant to be for the moment to hear this song. it's a drive I will never forget. he was a hard working man. the cancer got to him but he never gave up the fight. I promised him I'd move a 1000 miles to attend college. started a few months after he passed. will never forget what he said "please get to that school" before he left the Hospital to go to the hospice. I will make him proud. never told anyone one this but he's the reason why I started looking at what I wanted to pursue in college. looked up one day, saw the planes flying in the air. thought to myself, I fix my own car myself being a mechanic would be great. let's make it better and become an aviation mechanic technician. told my dad about that. he was super proud, I won't let him down. down here in texas doing what I told him what I'd do before he passed.

Cancer is a evil disease that took my dads life on March 8th 2019 at 66 years old, he never smoked, never chewed tobacco, never drank and never did drugs, he was a beautiful person and loved the Lord, he worked hard his whole life, loved my mom who he married 43 years ago, loved me and my brothers and all of his grandchildren, he will be missed dearly.

I got the call in 2009 and i watch my dad that was able to walk and slowly went into a wheelchair! My friend Tim, my girlfriend and I took him for his last Elk hunt in oct 2017 and shortly afterwards he past away in our home! I look at the spot were the hospital bed was, i cry but i think about the good times we had, fishing, hunting, mushroom picking, going to Alaska, those memories will always be in my Heart! We miss you Dad always. Ill see you soon at the Columbia river were we salmon fish all the time, we put his ashes in the river so every year his son fishes with his old man like he use too! My dad shot himself 12/26/2019, "the day after Christmas". I still can't believe the man that taught me everything, the man that i always hoped to be like, could do something like this. He was ONE HELL OF A MAN. His suicide has really fucked with my mind.. I lost my little brother 10/16/2017. He fell asleep on his way to work, that monday morning, and hit a tree. He was 20 years old. I was 26 when that happened. These last few year have been rough on me, i mean, I can literally feel the emptiness, but I know there are people in this world that have it way worse than me. Sorry for rambling, I just had to share the significance of the dates "June 30th & July 4th". It feels good to vent, thanks.

Taught me how to fix cars, build houses, hunt and fish. He raised me to be the person i am today. I hope i make him as happy as he made me.

I lost my dad a few months ago. He was 71 died suddenly while healing at a rehab, I should be lucky for the time I got with him. I've been told I sound and look just like him, he wasn't perfect, but to me he was pretty great, taught me so many things that I love to this day. It just pains me knowing I can't just call him up and talk to him, hear him laughing or just call to say hi. It's going to be tough, but I hope my dad is watching over us.

I never knew until she was gone how much I want to be like my mom. She was patient and kind. She taught autistic children for 13 years. I could never do the work she did. We lost her at 43 years old from an undiagnosed heart condition. Me and my brother making a point to see each other on a constant basis now. We see each other more and spend more time together now then we did when we were teenagers and living with our separate parents. This song reminds me so much much of my Dad. He worked for J.W. Buck Construction for years, drove a truck and pulled equipment for the jobs. Worked hard out in the cold and heat. His hands were rough and tough looking. I lost my Dad on 2-21-16 due to a fall and blow to his head on 2-09-16 the day after his 79th birthday. It seems like just yesterday sometimes and today is one of those day. I love and miss you soo much Dad.
