hello matthew i am obsessed with the music predominantly from 1927 until about 1936 too trad jazz big band show tune numbers what kind of shure vintage microphone you are currently using though crystal / piezo or carbon or condenser by the looks of it should be carbon but the sound not like a carbon mic though
