Most of these computers were sold as entertainment consoles. My friends just bought cartridges. I actually learned TI basic The cassette was not originally offered, I believe it was added to already boxed computers and a sticker was slapped on there.

This was fun. These are kind of attainable retro computers. It's fun to see them covered.

I still have my childhood one of these, and I think the bespoke cassette cable for it too. Not much making me want to play with it these days though, wonder if there's an RGB mod for it?

I didn't know this computer exists. For me it is one of the most annoying stuff on earth seeing these broken cassetts. Did you type in the programs manually?

The ones you saw running, yes. That space bar problem will drive you crazy because its where shift should be.

What is the model of the Samsung TV you were using for the demo? It looks more like a computer monitor.

LN-T2342. Got it at Goodwill for $10. I've been looking for TVs that are old enough to have a boatload of different input connectors and this one has about any type you need: Antenna, HDMI, component, s-video, etc.

@@drueking I just looked it up. Agreed it's a nice alternative for an old school monitor (for at least testing) if you can get one cheap.
