I agree with you, Mattel shouldn't have advertised Woody as having a closed smile if he didn't have actually have one. I don't like the buttons and the vest printed on plaid shirt either, they should've been separated. Even the 1995 - 96 Woody did that, but at least this is somewhat a more accurate Woody despite some of the missing details.

I actually think it’s kind of movie accurate in terms of size. In TS3, during the scene where Andy is contemplating giving Woody away, when Andy has woody in his hands, he seems to be a small toy, and I think this toy has that down
So the toys change size in the movie for certain scenes but we know Woody is suppose to be 16 inches with hat as said by Pixar studio and with their digital Pixar data they released to us. So no this Woody is not movie accurate size but it’s still cool for what it is.
I agree with the pullstring not pulling far ~ i think this is a cool woody but if the pullstring pulled further and stuff wasnt printed on it would be really cool.
I honestly think I’m this woody is pretty good, the print looks better, the jeans look beautiful, the pull string isn’t perfect but really good. The holster is incredibly nice, since it moves, the hair is a bit red tho, I’d say it’s worth it.
This is my first woody even tho the face the hands and the gold star and gold circle is not from the movie and his voice box is kinda different but it's good i recommend this woody it's good to start with and u can get buzz or the same woody and play with it i also righted my name on his left boot he has 30 voice lines it's good the best woody ever
I just got one of these today and I love it. It's not perfect but I'm happy with it. I compared it to my 1995 Thinkway Woody and it was a crazy comparison 😂 it's practically a baby

I wished they've added other quotes like "Somebody's poisoned the water hole" Or "I'd like to join our Posse boys but first I'm going to sing a little song" in all the other woody dolls Maybe have blank boots to write a name
Excellent review! I was so excited for this because of the face sculpt because I wanted to reenact the opening of Toy Story. I wonder why they changed it? Modding it with the 7 inch figure would look funny. That's something Sid would do!

This may be my favorite one , love the phrases , feels like exactly the kinds of things the movie woody toy would say , face isn't bad , I've seen worse , real badge and real boots , and cheaper than others now , love it .
I just got mines today and when I got him out of the box, I looked under his boot and some how it was written with andy’s name on it and it looked just like his writing in the first movie 😅
This pretty cool action figure, at least in my opinion. Despite not having that movie accurate head sculpt like the one in the picture from when they announced it.
So around here on mexico the toy story collection woody didn't have the original voice actor of the movies because of unknown reasons but recently some of toy story 4 woody's have the original voice and im going to see if woody has the proper voice if he has it I think i'll buy it
Just imagine if it had the closed mouth. Cause the only other closed mouth Woody was the plush one from toy story 4. That would had been awesome but still for 30 dollars I believe its pretty awesome
I think Mattel can make a kind of Toy Story collection of theirs in the future, I also think they can do it a little better than Thinkway Toys, I don't want to say anything bad about Thinkway Toys, I just think Mattel can make a Toy Story collection a little better in the future
Even though it's not movie accurate size or doesn't have the movie accurate Toy mode expression, I still think that this is a fun looking Woody doll, what I like the most about it is the jeans even though they're printed on and not real denim jeans like a 2009 Toy story collection Woody, I really like the color it looks accurate to the movie more specifically the first Toy story movie, hopefully I can get this but I wouldn't include it with my Toy story collection but this would just be an on the side Woody doll to just have lying around, or sitting on my nightstand to keep me company, so maybe and hopefully I can get this, he looks pretty good to me. And I can't believe that they advertised it with a closed mouth smile expression, instead of it just having the open mouth smile from the beginning, (if you ask me?) this is false advertising.
@@todayigrewup that's true, and I agree with what you said in this video, they should most definitely take those photos down because it's very misleading, because when I personally look at a advertised photo of a action figure I would expect to get it in the same way that it was advertised, by the way yesterday I just picked up my Roundup fun Woody doll, and despite it s not accurate size I still really like it, it still looks like Woody nonetheless, but it would have been better if they could have given us a closed mouth smile version, because honestly to me he looks like a smaller version of the Toy story collection Woody with the expression that's he has, and honestly to me he's more floppier than the collection Woody, that's probably what I like the most about it, and I also like that when you pull a strings out of all of the things that he says one of my favorites is when he says, there's poison in the water hole, now to my knowledge all the Woody dolls that I have had growing up never said that phrase, even though the Toy story collection one said pretty much all the phrases that the Toy mode version of what he said in the movie that phrase was probably the only phrase that he didn't say, now just to be clear, I'm not hating on the Toy story collection Woody at all, that's still an amazing Woody, but I'm just saying that there's certain things I like about the Roundup fun Woody doll.
@@smb-c3po nice 🙂 I want to the Target store and got mine, he is a very nice looking Woody doll despite not being the accurate height, when this Woody was announced along with the other Mattel figures for 2022 I was kind of going back and forth whether or not to get this because I was satisfied with my Toy story collection white logo Woody, but like I said he seems like a very nice looking Woody doll so I thought why not purchase him, and given the fact that he's only $30 you can't beat the price, he seems like a very fun Woody doll that you can throw and play around with, I can never do that with my Toy story collection Woody, but that's cool that you're going to purchase yours I promise you won't regret it, he is a good purchase
@@smb-c3po okay well what you should do that's better is to have your mom call the Walmart and see if they actually have it first, and then see if they can hold it for you so when you arrive and when you get to the customer service area you just tell them your name and then they'll have it ready for you because that's what I did when I got mine from Target.
The box art is REALLY weird, especially the large one on the back as it looks like they took the prototype picture and photoshopped a smile onto him. I wonder if the face change was made later into production. Either way, he looks interesting, and I can’t wait for mine to arrive! Also I went back and checked and even the new large scale Woody figure (who is also 12 inches) has a open smile.

i think it is that expensive just because it is new, in a few months i think the prize will be ajusted also by being that cheap i think thats just suposed to be a toy you would give to a children so that Woody is the literal just a child play thing
Honestly, the newer Woody's all feel like downgrades. Especially now that the toy makers are usually just printing the vest and buttons on usually. Now I plan on just...getting myself a signature collection one maybe.
It’s kinda strange that Mattel released a Woody doll Considering they made John Lasseter’s Casper doll that’s how they made talking dolls back in the day and because Buzz Lightyear is inspired by a GI Joe Doll Hasbro should make one but they haven’t made a buzz figure that talks since they had the Toy Story and Beyond series

I do think it’s weird how they advertised it with a closed mouth but not put it on the actual toy, but I kinda think it’s for a reason. The toy expression is a bit creepy when you look at it for a bit. A cold dead stare with nothing but a smile, but at least the toys in real life have some emotion to it, like eyelids and teeth.

Actually I am kind of okay about the size it did look a little movie accurate When Andy holds this it kind of does look like a small toy and skinny it would be perfect with open hands and closed mouth face and a better voice box

I bought this piece at a local store in my city center yesterday. I live in Mexico, so it is the latin version, I must say that the piece is nice but not very impressive, and a bit expensive in my opinion, since they could have added more details for what it costs. Out of curiosity, I attest that the latin piece does have Andy's name added to the right boot, but I see that the american version does not, why is that?
That’s so weird I have the same woody but mine says Andy on the foot, and it has slight differences but it is the same Woody at the same box and it said 2022 on the box
