It's finally here! this is the official video of my tune "Samba Party", I know, It's a strange title because first of all, musically speaking it doesn’t have anything to do with the samba style, but I wanted to write a happy “major chord” song and the thing I usually connect with giant happy parties with a lot of people is the carnival in Rio de Janeiro, that’s why “Samba Party”. The main theme of the song is inspired by samba rhythms but I wanted a more modern groove, that was when the masters ‪@gianlucapellerito94‬ on drums and ‪@riccardo_oliva‬ on bass delivered this outstanding performance, and I was super happy of the result! I have to say it’s probably my favorite song from the album!
The location is called "Farm Cultural Park" located in Favara (AG) Sicily. We had tons of fun recording this, and I wanted to thank Florinda Saieva for letting us shoot the video on these beautiful locations! I also wanted to thank, as always @YamahaGuitarsOfficial for their constant support and of course thanks to YOU fans all over the world for the comments, likes and your positive response on my original material, that means the world to me! Thank you again.

Matteo, I've been playing and teaching guitar for over 40 years...bands, studio, production..etc.. I am super critical about music, I have very high bar!! In all honesty, I have to say you are absolutely a gift from God. I have listen to all the tracks you've made available. Granted some are better than others, but in general, your ideas, approach and technical proficiency is many levels above. I know everyone focuses on your right hand, and that is amazing, but your perception of harmony is crazy. I can only hope that 1 day I can see you play live. I'm Italian, my family is from Palermo. I live is that states and have always wanted to go to Italy but I'm somehow going to get to Italy to see you play.. Thank you for your music & inspiration.

Holy God!! Timbre very similar to that of Frank Solari and the same vibe as Frank Solari's 1st album, together with Roger Solari and Kiko Freitas, bassist and drummer respectively! there is no doubt he is an amazing musician but his songs all seem to follow the same formula for me. and bottom line is he ruins the songs with excessive shredding and tapping.

OK, I've listened for the hundredth time I think maybe more. I listen to this everyday, it's a real uplifting energetic piece and really great video of the guys is playing together. Also like gleaning some great guitar licks from the soundtrack and watching him play them. This is the best song in the album by far.

Wow this takes me back to the old days of fusion, it has that quality of exploration and creativity that sparked around the late 70s and 80s. When so much was unexplored. Matteo’s restraint during certain passages lifts the whole song with melody and focus, bypassing the meandering that is so tempting when having such a command of his instrument. This is artistry, maybe borrowed from earlier generations, but holding its own in composition and player ability. Congrats on creating something new and yet classic!

Gambale, Patitucci, Weckl. Only thing missing is Corea. Electric band. I have to tell ya - Matteo has raised the bar. And it's going to be hard to raise it again. Holdsworth, Beck, Vai, Metheny, Di Meola, Halen, Gambale and a host of others now have Matteo to add to the list of greats. Samba Party = love it.

I didn’t think anybody could out-shred Bonamassa, Vai etc but this young man has set the bar so high, He’ll be the most sought after guitarist for the foreseeable future. The amazing thing is, I don’t really like jazz/fusion but Matteo’s playing just draws me in. I know this isn’t a live recording but I have seen other videos where the 3-piece is playing live and I want to praise the bassist and drummer who are also top drawer musicians.
