@@loginusername7 What are you talking about? I'm just sharing what I heard from my cousin who knows someone that when to his high school. I'm the alpha buddy, just ask your mother about that...she'll tell you.
40 yard is a different race from 100m. And track is a different sport from football. You can talk about baseball arms and football speed and basketball bounce, but the truth is track guy's would win every event. Because that's all they do. Track guys aren't learning plays, studying opponents, working as a team unit. They are just doing amazing things on the track.
@@horacioipina7676 yeah but my friends quick and past 40 yards I smoke him so obviously a Track dude VS a football player who practices over 40 yards VS 109 yards yeah he's gonna get beat
Dude ran a 44.5 split in the last leg of 1600 meter relay while in high school. That's olympics fast. I ran track for Georgia in the 1980's and we had nothing like him.
@@nateg.6187 right! my brother got a scholarship to run at MSU in 2008 for the 400 and his fastest time was 48 seconds. Now you have ppl like this and sub 50 times are a dime a dozen 😂
Nunya Business but it’s the only reason he’s getting any attention. Jeff demps ran 10.01 legal wind in high school and travon Brummell but they weren’t plastered all over the internet .. 🤷🏿♂️
@@bruhmanflight Just read up because I was curious about records. Brummel's time was altitude assisted and wind aided. Demp's time was faster and legal like you said but occurred after his senior graduation at the 2008 Olympic trials so not officially considered a high school record because didn't occur in a high school only competition. Still, an incredible time and he was 18. And yes, Boling is getting this over the top coverage because he's white. Incredible talent, but that's the reason. Have to keep it real.
Bobby Wells running is not a talent! Because you do it faster doesn’t make you talented! That’s like saying the kid that throws the ball the furthest is a talented kid. The fat guy that can eat the most damn he is talented. The worlds strongest man competition whoa they are so talented. Sounds kinda moronic doesn’t it.
Nah: they got plenty of talent. Just like the football players aren’t gonna go out and excel at track, he’s not gonna be a good football talent just because he’s fast. Ross ran a 4.22 at the combine and can’t even get open against corners running 4.4-4.5 🤷🏾♂️
I mean at least you get money. I’m ignorant to the sport of track but do you even get paid? if so by who and how much? Besides endorsements if you even get that.
jpratx The top track athletes like Coleman, Lyles etc. Will get paid good cash. You’ll make more in the NFL sure, but I don’t see him making waves in NFL like he could in track. Also, probably don’t wanna end up with CTE or some other chronic injury.
I love how all the football guys welcomed him and had a good time with the whole thing. This kid has got some serious talent - as long as he keeps his head on his shoulders and works hard, he'll be in the Olympics in 2024. ****Important to note: He's just finished his outdoor track season within the past couple weeks. He's been training and traveling for the past six months for the outdoor season alone.
@Real boxing Fan1 This kid is super Clean. And he's the type that won't use any drugs. ANY. HE'LL GAIN NATURALLY. HIS NECK IS ALREADY A RODEO BULL NECK. I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT NECK ON HIM.
@Real boxing Fan1 that's just brutal of you to assume he will cheat, because many Americans cheat with drugs, Lance Armstrong, Flo Jo, etc, track is,a,brutal sport, no doubt, the training is brutal, but not all cheat. He's got so much natural speed, stamina, he won't have to.
James Spirit I think if Boling had maybe 2 years instead 1 he probably would make it. I mean he is 18, and obviously hasn’t reached his full potential. But yeah, and but of a stretch for Tokyo I think.
5c0tti5h Plrb3aR lmao well actually yeah unless you want to get suspended/banned and medals stripped away, PEDs are outlawed to keep a level playing field haha.
What I like about Matt, is that for all of his “ off the charts “ media attention, he remains a humble guy. That is so rare amongst young adults. If he realizes that his gift is God given, and he STAYS humble, he could possibly be “ the best of all time”!!!🇺🇸🥇✝️📢📢📢📢📢📢💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💥
Let's Give This Young Man The Credit That's Due To Him.** He's A "Speedster!!!!!"** I Wish Him A Successful Career In Track And Field.** Mike Boling: Continue To Focus On Running; Maybe Later Concerning Football. Focus On The Olympics "Gold" "Medals!!!!!"** "KUDOS!!!!!"**
I don't care who gave thumbs down to this kid...he is just fast, and a freshman? Under good coaching, right training, he will be World Champion very soon. Matt just keep running kid!!! May God bless your talent and hard work!👊🏼
Mr Boling is gifted, with a good mind as well as body, He had enough sense to avoid the short-lived glamour of football (and I'm sure he had/has coaches hounding him). When his athletic career is over there is a good chance he will be able to enjoy health and think clearly having avoided thousands of collisions the human body was never designed to withstand.
@@Packman33 He's a Humble really decent KID. HE DOWN PLAYS JUST HOW JET FAST HE IS. HE VOLUNTEERS FOR HANDICAPPED KIDS. HE DOES JOKE TOO. SO HE'S HUMAN YEAH.
He is just a fast kid. He's also an anomaly. Not because he's white, but because of how fast he is. Him being white will indeed put asses in seats and have eyes glued to the televisions, but truly that's unimportant. He is a physical freak. But we all love anomalies, we just do, Tiger. EMINEM, etc. We all love having our expectations pleasantly subverted. While I agree that there's no real racial reason why he wouldn't be fast, it's an old stereotype that was never actually true. It just seemed to be, 20 years ago I was in HS on the track team decimating opponents of all races in the sprint events, until I ripped my quads and knee to shit goofing off during a practice in the snow. The stereotype is lasting though, it's just one of those things. But the true story is about what an absolute monster the kid is, regardless of his skin, we definitely agree on that.
@@anthonyantmanedwardsisbett8197 he was under 10 in high school. 1st high schooler ever. His start isn't that good, great coaches at Georgia will fix his few flaws and anything is possible. But thinks for the racist stereo-type.
saintmyles not “white boy” but GOD DAMN evolution before our eyes. Him and Mac Mclung who plays for Georgetown. When you read this please read it with your best southern accent.
One of my friends grew up with Boiling.....when he was younger he had braces on his legs and used to get picked on and bullied.....one day he was walking his bestfriend jeanie home and some bullies started chasing him in their pickup....jeanie yelled "RUN BOILING RUN!!!" He ran right out of his leg braces and has been running ever since......true story
boricuafrican his point he is trying to make is that football players aren’t the fastest players in the world, as much as the media likes to try to make them out to be. The fastest football player would be an average pro sprinter in the world of track & field
Nate Cruz he is trained specifically for running track they are playing football ...he should. B faster he’s prolly 160 pounds ...put some of the players in a track program a few could run wit him
This is 🔥🔥 It would also be really interesting to see him run the entire 400 by himself versus a relay team of the fastest football players on that team
@@davidhofmayer1031 Him running a 400 would destroy those guys in a 4x100. They have to slow down and hand off the baton 3 times. Plus they don't know how to race, they just know how to run. He's conditioned to run fast for all distances. He would crush them.
@@ryanphelps2296 it's amazing how one could post literally ANY comment and there will always be a know it all who will say something completely outrageous - and with 100% confidence at that! Lol. I honestly I think it would be a close race , and I don't know who would win. You're forgetting a lot of football players actually ran the 4x1y in High School so they probably have some experience. But, I don't think any of us knows for SURE who would win, except you of course, but there are a couple of things you said that are just foolish. If passing the Baton off slows things down, then that would mean that 4 X1 relays would be slower than a single person running a 400 - which is obviously not the case! In addition, a person cannot train to be fast across all distances. I'm not even going to take the time to debunk that one. That's just not the way the body or conditioning works.
Damn, with my 32nd birthday right around the corner, this just makes me miss being that age. SO ready to prove you're the best and can't be touched. Dudes got some getaway sticks that's for sure!!!
@Enrique Alvarez that is not obvious, it is kinesiology. Many feel as if leg turnover is the key to speed. Increase your flexibility and you will be faster.
Running 9.98 as a high school student, he would have finished 7th in the finals of the 2016 Olympic 100 mtrs. I hope Georgia makes a Carl Lewis out of him (100, 200, LJ (he has an awesome long jump too), relay). He's definitely got the talent base for being that level of athlete. I think his start will improve. His acceleration is mind-blowing.
Just a perspective, in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, there was a guy named Michael Johnson who took home multiple gold medals. Johnson's primary focus was the 200 and 400, but his best 100m of all time was 10.09 seconds. So, this kid is actually a hair faster than an olympic gold medal sprinter, at least in the 100m event...
I see the comments on him playing football, track vs football is a no brainer, you have risks in both sports, but less chance in track due to no linebackers waiting for you on the backstretch of the 400., run in the Olympics, win the gold with your 3 trackmates, get on the Wheaties Box together, get a safe endorsement, live a happy life.
Lets get Matt suited up on some kickoff and punt returns.. THAT would be something !!!! He had a few words with speedster as he passed him ...ANOTHER level.
Put em in pads and cleats. Throw em on the field, and football players win it. You never challenge an elite in their territory. Racing a track dude on the track is akin to wrestling an alligator in the water. You're far more likely to win on your turf, but just like wrestling an alligator on land, only the exceptional football players could beat him even on there own turf.
His all around range is crazy. For those that don’t know, he can high jump 6’7” and has a long jump around 24-26 feet I think? Wouldn’t be surprised if he could go sub 1:50 in the half mile and probably 4:20 or so in the mile.
These guy's KNOW they have that freak of nature talent at their school! Should be some interesting stuff in the upcoming months.... Ill be watching. Represent Texas Matthew!
10 HS teams have run sub 40's...no single person could ever win because you have the hand-off and surge of a fresh runner. trackandfieldnews.com/tfn-lists/high-school-all-time-top-10s-boys/ . However, Georgia football does NOT have sub 10 4x100 guys...it also takes coordination and practice to hand off and accelerate.
Everett01 he hasn’t been training for the 200 like that tho... and he consistently runs sub 10.25 100m despite only training for it seriously in his senior season
Walks onto the track all non chalant and take the paton all casual and lightly jogs past the fastest kid on the football all while crackin a smile and pointing at his feet 😂😂😂 Boiling is gonna be the Michael Phelps of Track in the 2024 Olympics
Barry Block you guys know nothing about track smh his best 100 meter is wind aided the corrected time was a 10.20 or something around there also there have been kids this speed at this age like travon bromell who holds the record for fastest non wind aided 100 meter for highschool

Barry Block dude those vids are from years ago and if you want I can garentee you boling will never win a 100m gold metal and we all know why and it’s a fact go ahead and be a fan boy I’ll be realistic hope he gives you slow people hope
Track speed is a different kind of fast then football speed. I do have to admit that Boling was wearing spikes and Richard Lecounte was in trainers, huge difference despite the starting distance between them.
It doesn’t really matter if the last leg that boling beat runs a 4.4, boling probably runs a 4.4 40 too but he can sustain that 4.4 far pass 40 yards. Catch my drift?
I have a lot of respect for all these athletes... sports takes much mental and physical discipline - the same as any professional career. Stay strong!!
