I fell in love with this movie.. The best romantic comedy I ever seen.. They both were perfect for the movie.. I have watched it over 3 times and I always get butterflies in my stomach 🦋❤️
I love Matthew Goode as most as anybody else, but once watching Leap Year was enough. Between the accent and actually knowing that a trip from the west of Ireland to Dublin DOES NOT TAKE THAT LONG!!! My suspension of disbelief only works for so long
Matthew Goode should get many awards for his acting in Leap Year-- would love to see him in another movie with Amy Adams---what a team ! And what a great romantic fun movie-----5 stars all the way !
LUV this movie! I don't know why now after 2 years did I only found out about this truly romantic movie. I am now a Matthew fan, well... I was always been and forever an Amy fan! luv this DECLAN look on Matthew, I wish he would stay with this look forever.
Oh Matthew, his sense of humor is something else 😂😂 And he's got the sexiest voice! He always plays serious roles but I really love him in romance comedy. Chasing Liberty is my favorite.
I had nothing to watch on TV and I decided to rent out the Red Box machine the movie Leap Year only because I liked Amy Adams in the movie Enchanted. She is funny-. I did not know anything about this guy, but when I saw him in the movie with her I said to my self Where have I been all this time that I didn't see you before??? He is a GORGEOUS MAN.... I my gosh... He is the guy that with a good scrip and co-star , he can do serious damage to Hollywood top male actors and also break some hearts.
Amy Adams and Matthew Goode really make good chemistry in a movie... never seen comedy romantic movie with that strong chemistry from the actors like in Leap Year!!
They really made their characters come alive! Amy Adams and Matthew Goode were totally believable and lovable. I had to watch it 7 times and marveled at their talent. Amy was incredible in that scene where she tumbled down the hill trying to catch the train, then Matthew's line, "Well, that'll speed things up a bit!" Who wrote this?
I've lost count of how many times I have watched it! It has some editing and script flaws which I didn't notice the first time I saw it such as Anna reaching out for Jeremy's hand twice during apt interview and then putting her right earring on 3 times during the dinner scene plus putting it on too quickly which can only be done if it was a clip on which it wasn't per image of the earrings in the box. As to script, Anna tells Declan twice that Jeremy is a cardiologist, when first in the car and then later when walking after Louis is stolen. It was also hard to believe that Declan didn't know how to put down Louis's handle and that he had never heard of Louis Vuitton and there is no way they were at the castle ruin for 2 1/2 hours. Declan told her it was a 15 minute walk up to the top and they were there maybe twice that long. It would have been more believable if the script had said one hour or maybe 1 1/2 hours until train arrives. There were many more things that stood out to me such as Anna's coat which was wet and muddy from her fall yet she has it on the next day dry and clean but perhaps the B&B wife laundered it for her. And Declan wasn't carrying a bag of any kind so where did his toothbrush and change of clothes come from? And Feb in Ireland would be very cold yet the wedding reception is outdoors as it it were a summer day. Declan says he left the reception because it was too hot in there but as it was outdoors there was no "in there". Such flaws in a film tend to break the 4th wall for me but as the acting is so believable, the good definitely outweighs the bad!
I'm irish and although it's not perfect, it's one of the best imitations of an Irish Accent I've ever heard on film by an actor from another country. Having said that much, I'm horrified at hearing Piers Morgan of all people claim to be "Irish"..... The only response to that that I have is a very typically irish "Aye.... Me Arse!" (I'm usually a lot more eloquent with words, but a RIDICULOUS, highly dubious claim like that deserves an equally ridiculous response!!)
he looks so friggin cute... esp with the beard... omg... while i was watching this movie, i kept commenting how cute he was and my bf just kept staring at me XD
@lopey909 Yess i totally agree!!! he looks a lot hotter with the facial hair and omg after seeing Leap Year, i was like i wish they were together in real life too!! they were fantastic together!!
"she's obviously a little bit too talented for ol' goode" hahaha! love how he's trying to be humble!!! so cute! love his voice too! saw him in The Lookout, looked so bad ass and hot in that movie, now here, he looks so cute!
if you're having an interview with a brit and you're not prepared for this kind of humour (especially the americans are quite prudish there) then you should simply not do it lol. but still i think the interviewer is having fun XDD, i love 3:53
SOLD! He's coming with me! Matthew is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get ..... but I'm sure every bite of him is a luscious tasty morsel!
I love this movie, he is sooo sexy! That clip they showed in the beginning, when I saw how he handled the LV suitcase, I had the same reaction Amy did when he banged it on the ground! haha
@sweetjenn37 He means would you take the Chihuahua (the dog) or the duvet (the quilt or doona) suggesting she's materialistic and superficial :) I know... I couldn't understand him at first...
