I heard Matthew sing this song at a Met Opera Gala from his home...and since then his version is my favorite one.

His pianissimos are perfection!

This is posibaly the most simplistic and basic version of this song I have ever heard and it was pure bliss and perfection! Real beauty has no end!

I can feel the pain and sorrow of the father sending the son off to the battle field knowing well the son may never come home to visit the father's tomb. I am in tears reliving the farewell scene. God bless all good fathers on this Easter.
