The number of people who think I’m a Bruins fan because of this. Lol. It’s just Florida’s MO. Tampa was also bad for this when they were winning, which is because the NHL rewards it so often. I also didn’t like it when Florida did it to Detroit earlier this year, and every second game all year. This has nothing to do with the Bruins. One small example of why no one likes the Florida Panthers ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_YdghbMrgX4.html
You're acting like tkachuk and the panthers are the biggest offenders. Bruins were starting fights all night because they couldn't handle losing. Did you see the panthers starting fights like this when they were losing badly in game one? Bruins are just sore losers. Rodriguez took multiple shots to the back of the head right in front of the cameras and the refs and it wasn't called but you're not complaining about that are you? That's ok though we're used to everyone hating us because we're not that small market team that was easy to beat anymore.
@@mitchhak2 Stop talking to me immediately. Lol. Just kidding. I liked Vancouver more until they switched from the skate blade jerseys. Lots to like about this group this year though. If Game 1 is any indication this should be an entertaining series.
I could NOT agree more! Last year, Tkachuk should have been suspended for multiple games for his deliberate cross-check of Garnet Hathaway. Tkachuk is everything I hate about the NHL and their favoritism.
The refs not calling these makes it so that the only response the Bruins have is to hurt Tkachuk. Makes the game dangerous when the players are the ONLY ones left to officiate
And Tkachuk knows that 😂😂 he’s helping his team.. I’m a bruins fan but this is the most entertaining hockey we’ve gotten in ages.. all thanks to Matthew Tkachuk joining Florida.. it’s hockey
@@davidquesnel4685 have you looked around on this channel? For the first few months Marchand was keeping me in business single handedly. Lol. I call him out too.
That’s his whole role… piss you off then score on you.. just like Marchand 😂 panthers are exactly how Boston was when Boston won the cup.. talented players that play with grit and aggression.. it’s rough hockey enjoy it before fighting is suspendable
That is the shit that wouldn't be tolerated in the regular season that rats like Tkachuk, Bennett, Montour, Cousins & Lomberg get away with in the post-season because the gutless referees allow it. Marchand & McAvoy are no different frankly. The other feature is, if they know they're getting one, they'll take multiple secondary shots knowing there is almost no chance the ref will call a second penalty. It's a fucking joke & never changes. That's why when Kolesar wrecked Tkachuk on a crushing hit in the Cup final in '23, I had zero sympathy for him.
I fear we are seeing the league regress as much as 50 years in this regard. Panthers keep getting rewarded for gooning far and away most in the league. And they followed big brother Tampa Bay's example, born from Boston's lead (mainly Marchand) before that. Let's all act surprised when any of the other five division foes adopts this strategy, which it pains me to even call it.
@@closethockeyfan5284 The other 'feature' of these 3 clubs (Florida, Tampa & Boston) is the staggering amount of 'holding-the-stick' fouls they routinely get away with & some that I have witnessed, clear as a bell have led directly to goals for. If that was an item that could be challenged by a review, (only in the event of a goal) I can think of about 12 goals involving those 3 teams that would have been disallowed & the perpetrator would have been penalized. 4 of them were game winning goals & 2 of them were series winning goals all made possible by Tampa or Florida holding the sticks of one or more of the defenders.
I’m a bruins fan… panthers are bringing back entertaining hockey.. everyone complained hockey was soft and we need old time hockey back… this isn’t even remotely close to how bad old time hockey was.. panthers are the same team Boston was all of 2000s and 2010s.. it’s rough hockey and I love it
It's almost as if the ones calling this out, have been shat on by every other team's fans for the past couple years. "Blame the refs cause your team is trash!" No, the league has their favorites and NOTHING will be done unless the other GMs step up to Bettmann and tell him to get his refs in check ffs
To call that an elbow is hard to see even at slow motion from multiple angles. The puck was right there, it popped loose when he tapped the spot it was sitting on Swayman's arm. If you call every little thing, the game will take four hours and the box will be filled with coincidental calls. You're right, he's a rat, and I'll even go so far as to say that one might better have been evened up for the punch at the end.
Nah. Tkachuk didn't elbow Swayman. He gave him a little punch in the shoulder. Nothing serious. Regular scrums are much worse. But yes, the Bruins have to react. Tkachuk doing an extra little push in the face after everything settled down was a Marchand move, so whatever..... LOL.
Yea exactly, let’s just go back to the original 6 teams with that logic because those teams are carrying the rest in profits. Plenty want to see the panthers in the playoffs because they play entertaining hockey.
@@h3ll_0_w0rld I’m serious though it’s good for business it’s all about money at the end of the day I’d rather see big market teams in the final 4 every year nhl is a business that provides entertainment for money nothing more Teams like the yotes or Utah now shouldn’t be a thing they keep diluting the player pool in the league super teams like the oilers in the 80’s islanders in the 80’s the habs in the 70’s even the red wings vs avs rivalry was awesome to watch 1 or 2 cups and done is lame we need more super teams in the league
Ah yes the team with the biggest fanbase should win the cup. Why even bother playing the games? If you want your team to win they need to play well. Just one of the many reasons I can’t stand hockey fans especially the Canadian fans and other original six team fans who gatekeep like this.
@@ToughCall That's Tkachuk's game my friend. First, get into your head, then the back of the net. I did enjoy the video though, thanks for the quick analysis.
Doesn't make it any less wrong. Sure, Bruins are hypocrites (as both Tkachuk brothers have also shown), but it's all garbage. I would be totally fine with a double forfeit of this particular series, Nos. 31 and 32 teams on my list.
I see a loose puck, so did Swayman have it fully controlled or was he swatting at an already loose puck with his elbow? Looks to me like the Bruins got a favor from the ref with the early whistle, but yeah, it's Tkachuk so he isn't allowed to swat at an uncontrolled puck like every other player. Then he takes a stick in the head from Brazeau (1:10), but that's okay because you hate Tkachuk. Your take is a joke.
When was the last time you saw anyone elbow a goalie for a loose puck before this? Every other player doesn’t do that. Just Tkahcuk. I don’t hate Tkachuk. I know some people think I single him out, but I don’t. If he shows up on this channel more than others it’s because he regularly does more things than others. It’s what some people specifically love about him and yet when I say negative things about it I’m making it up.
@@ToughCall Dude, Swayman didn't have his glove hand holding the puck to his chest. It's basically being held by his blocker, which isn't in any way secure. If I'm looking down, which is what Tkachuk was doing and see a puck just floating there, I would hit his blocker too. Did you want him to bring his stick up to do it?
@@jefflarson1652 Again, when was the last time you say anyone else do that? That’s the question I keep asking myself too, not just you. Plus Tkachuk does this to goalies whether it’s 1 second or 10 seconds after the whistle. I’m fairly against making calls based on reputation. They have to have actually done something. But I’m not against immediately shutting down after the whistle antics from a player and team known specifically for after the whistle antics. They let it go and look at how the game turned out?
@@ToughCall I see players hacking away at a goalie's pads or glove at least 20 times a game when the puck is clearly frozen. What game are you watching? Because it's before the whistle and it's an elbow to the blocker, that's somehow different? When he did it, the puck immediately fell from Swayman's body, so it's abundantly clear that it was a lot looser in this case than all those other cases where players are poking and jabbing away. Yet you feel a need to make an entire video because a guy hit a board with his elbow, while saying that he elbowed the goalie, which he didn't do. Yeah, you hate Tkachuk. Quote from you "It only took 15 seconds of game 2 before I had great video showing why I hate NHL officiating and Matthew Tkachuk". Also quote from you in a response to me "I don't hate Tkachuk". Weird, right?
@@jefflarson1652 We see players hacking away at the goalie when the puck is covered on the ice, under a glove, and they use their stick. When it’s more of a race to the puck and the glove gets there first it should be no call. When it’s clearly after the puck is covered and there’s no chance of puck recovery it should be a penalty. Same as this. I don’t hate Matthew Tkachuk but more what he represents as far as what the NHL lets players needlessly get away with.
It was more than a shove yes, but he kept it just low enough to get away with it. Shove or punch though, doesn’t matter. He was given the chance to walk away by both the Bruins and the officials, and then right in front of the official he decided to instigate the scrum all over again. That would have been one of the easiest no questions asked calls you could have.
My take is the bruins are sore losers who can dish it out but can’t take it and they messed with the wrong player. Did panthers players start fights like this when they got destroyed on Monday?
Lmao, this guy is clearly a Boston fan. LIke they arent one of the worst at doing things like this LOLOLOL. Get beat at their own game and cry like babies.
Rat boy was not involved in this. I called him out enough over the years anyway, but Tkachuk and Bennett are easily, without any doubt or question, the two biggest rats in the league, and based on how a game or series is going I can usually predict to the shift when they’ll pull this stunt.
Tkachuk is definitely worse now, it's not even comparable. Back in the day, though, I could see an argument for 2010s Marchand as worse. In any case, it's whataboutism that doesn't at all detract from Tkachuk gooning and cheap-shotting
