"Matts Love story" 1973 The only woman Matt ever Kisses in Gunsmoke - Michael Learned 

Michael was just beautiful. In 1972 she was just 33 and they had to make her look at least ten years older to play mom on The Waltons. Here she is as is, gorgeous at 34. She STILL looks great today. The most recent photo of her I've seen was in 2020 when she would be 81. In 1990 she appeared again with Arness in the TV film "Gunsmoke, The Last Apache".

One of the best episodes. Victor French played his part so well, his interaction with Dillon from start to finish made it complete. The story line between Matt and Mike complemented the entire episode.

I never realized!! Matt had a substantial hairpiece!!! Well he always looked great!! I sure want to see this episode.

Time passes for us all, but it's hard to see how much Arness aged and thickened by the mid 70s. Only age had a quicker draw than Matt Dillon.

Their story was continued in the TV movie Gunsmoke: The Last Apache that aired in 1994.

I love the actors and I ❤ gunsmoke but this episode was my least favorite.
