The lipstick looks patchy. If you're gonna wear a dark color It should be more pigmented or you get that weird patchy look.

True... But this one actually looks patchy because of the way light bounces off her lips. I have the light positioned slightly more to the left, therefore it bounces off the glossy areas. If I would blot the lips with a tissue, they would look perfect. Though, in real life where the light flyes around your face, the lipstick wouldn't look patchy.
