Weekly report on Sept 7, 2024 of what has happened for the past week and will be happening in the upcoming week in the Maui County Government including County Council, Mayor's office Lahaina Fire and relevant State legislation. The Maui Pono Network is a grassroots organization dedicated Pono Government thru Community Action.

1) Rent Stabilization meeting has been moved to September 16 at 5:30 pm in the County Chambers. This is to testify about your situation and potential solutions.
2) Make sure you are registered to vote
3) Learn about the 2024 County election process. The primary was the first ballot in August and now we are on to the General Election where an extremely important vote on who will represent us for the next term of 2 years. The County Council shapes our laws and wires our county government. Be an informed voter.
4) Ballots will be mailed mid-October and final elections November 5
The Maui Pono Network is a grassroots organization dedicated to supporting the people and the ‘Āina of Maui County. The upcoming 2020 county elections are critical for our future as we transition from a plantation framework; at stake are large tracks of land, water distribution and if residents can afford to stay here. Now is the time to elect representatives who serve Maui Values.
