It's been almost twenty years and still not over losing this great man. Everyine is surely entitled to their favorite too. Mo was the Man, all around looks, talent, humor, and just as sweet and tender as he could be. Many say he was uderratted and I completely agree. But this was part of his selfless personality. His work both as a composer and musician spoke for itself. Mo was a giant among men. I truly miss " Mr. Handsome!"
Ahhhh, Maurice! The man in the middle. The peace keeper. That third harmony that only he could provide. Just the right harmony at just the right time... The three brothers were always best when they were together adding their individual, unique voice, their own magnificent talent to each and every song. The Bee Gees... The Best of the best!
In many ways, Maurice was the Bee Gee who was out of the limelight. Yet he had always been the group's musical mainstay. He learned to play piano as well as bass. And on a double album called 'Odessa', which was re;eased late in 1968, Maurice played piano and organ on some neo-classical pieces he had composed himself: 'With All Nations' (An International Anthem); 'The British Opera'; and another piece of music whose name escapes me now. Quite simply. Maurice was a gifted musician, songwriter and composer. His death was a preventable tragedy.
Such a talented, beautiful man with an amazing, lovely voice, even when he's just speaking Oh how I love and miss him ♥ Gone to soon but forever in my thoughts and heart. I love you from earth to heaven, Maurice ♥ ♥
I think Maurice was my favorite. I loved Robin,d voice and Barry was just Barry. All the Women love Barry But Maurice stole my heart with his smile and his antics. Nothing better that a great sense of humor and a beautiful easygoing man with a sense of Humor. How I wish People didn,t have to age and die. I know it's a given but it's the part of life that sucks. painful memories.
@Dorothy Kirton...l"m Wattana Chaimongkol from THAILAND. Yes! I thinks too...about MAURICE. I loved BARRY MAURICE ROBIN and ANDY but loved MAURICE morethan other Gibbs. Then and now I still loved him.
Every time I listen to Mo's instrumentals I realize the depth and beauty of each. This music could only come from a dreamer, a man in touch with life, love. There is something pure and innocent in the sounds. Mo was a joker, a funny man on the outside, but inside was a heart of tenderness and love. Robin is my man and no one can ever take his place. His voice is like no other . Their music is pure genius and each is a special magic.
As much as I absolutely love and adore Robin..I gotta say that Mo seemed So Genuine, Sincere and Kind...that its not possible, to me, for a more lovely human-being to exist.
Robin. Was at his peak from ,73 to 79.....he was in his mid to late 20's.and he looked the best of himself .during those years.,. Heavier. Healthier. Sexiest....... Mo. Looked better as he aged. He looked great in his 30's and 40's
@@spudjohnsonn8122 Wellll, That's on you then! Coz I LOVE Robins voice thru ALL the years!! But especially the very early years. To me and many, many others, Robins vocals are supremely beauuutiful!!! Someone once stated that had it not been for Robin, they would not have been drawn to The BeeGees. That it was Robins voice that was the drawing factor. Yes Indeed!!! Barrys natural voice, (BEFORE he went frigging falsetto!) was also Great. Loved when he and Robin traded off on the lyrics!! Mo had a wonderful harmonizing voice, but NOT a strong powerful lead voice. Even Barry has said as much, and on that I agree with him.
Wonderful voice, smile and humor, that was my love for mo,he’s just a great family man, brother and friend ,a good musician composer songwriter, brothers have their own style of voices, but most of all they all good family man ,god fearing brothers
Maurice was always a very underrated musician and singer. More of a silent Bee Gee than George Harrison was a silent Beatle in that as George always got at least one or two leads per album, Maurice's leads were sometimes few and far between. And I'm not sure it wasn't that he didn't want to sing lead as much as it was the record companies wanting more Barry and Robin, and Barry and Robin wanting more of their songs on albums. Regarding "Danny," I think the song was intended for the movie "Melody" but ultimately wasn't included. The movie used several older Bee Gees songs but the Gibb brothers had written some new songs and had submitted them for inclusion. Barry's "Every Second, Every Minute" was one of the songs. In the end, the producers of the movie rejected all of the new songs but a reworked version of their Australian song "In the Morning" (retitled to "Morning of My Life") and the new songs, except for "Morning of My Life" and "Every Second, Every Minute" remained unreleased.
I agree. I have listened to alot of their songs and listened to some of their interviews. I get the impression that Barry was rather controlling and maybe aggressive and overbearing who would sing lead and which songs each brother would sing lead. Barry seemed to be the leader of their band and therefore he along with the record producer made the final say on each project. Maybe that's why they broke up the band for awhile. Ultimately, they regrouped; because they were better together than apart. At least that's what I gathered from one of their interviews. 😍😍 I still love their music no matter what. Each brother brought a special unique voice to each song and all three had and have talent that is their own. Hope that Maurice, Robin and Andy are reunited and having a blast for eternity.
@@deborahsalinas5907 This is a Playlist of Mo's catalogue:- ru-vid.com/group/PLo0tzmnlxcWlIcaQ4kQv7Pynt1vH1qRqg He had at least one song on every album they produced - that he also sang the lead on - and he was also acknowleged for co writing many more. Both his brothers adored him, but they had to cope with Mo's challenges, from the 70's till the early '90s, because of his problems with alchol. The Playlist includes an interview where Mo talks about it, and how his brothers supported him.
@Blessed I think Mo's passing was devastating for Robin. He just didn't seem to smile as much as he did before. And I don't remember if I heard much of his humor after Mo's passing. His passing was a great loss to the whole Gibb family, especially for your bond, Adam, and Sammi
I agree he just lite up a room his smile omg his smile and yvonne just love her she was perfect for him they had a love till this day he’s gone 23 years she still loves him
Barry has always been my favorite for obvious reasons. But in so many ways Moe stole my heart as well. His looks are unquestionably gorgeous. His talent is underrated. Even those of us who love Moe probably don't know how his touch made the song a hit. He had a killer smile I loved that smile. Both of these pieces are great. I love the quietness of the instrumental. It put you in a very Mellow Mood. I love listening to it. Moe you have been gone so long. 😢And we have missed you so much.😢 Our hearts are still broken.😭 Love you Moe.💔💖💖💖
