Can I imagine it is a big pyramid and solve it? If not, why?

it is a truncated (cut off) pyramid so I guess you could calculate the volume of the big pyramid and then the volume of the cut of bit and subtract them to get the volume.

(32 + 56)/2 = 44 mean length of the short side (88 + 112)/2 = 100 mean length of the long side
