Personally, being a native of Mauritius, I can attest that much care was taken to showcase the magnificence of my island in this documentary. Many, many thanks to both of you! ❤🇲🇺
I really wish i had the money to travel the way you guys do. The world has so much beauty that so few get to see, thank you for letting us all see it through your perspective and adventures
Hi, I am looking to visit the island for about 2 weeks in March and am unsure about the weather (mainly the rain) - am I to expect a potential string of 3-4 days of rain or would I be ok just having several hours of rain spread in the period? Any input/help and experience of visiting the island in March would be welcome!
@@RayniacW Hi! Sure, I could give you some info. So March is generally quite rainy but you will get several sunny days. It’s hard to say if it will be continuous rain for a few days or a scattered distribution over the span of a week but some regions of the country are less rainy than others. The temperature is usually comfortable during this period although sometimes it can get a quite hot (H 30°C, L 20ish°C). But overall I think you’ll really enjoy the island.
Hello Lucas.. I'm from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 and watch your travel documentaries on your RU-vid channel. All your documentaries are interesting, beautiful and are of high quality. Your English accent is very good. Just like this Mauritius island, Sri Lanka too is an island nation in the Indian Ocean, blessed with natural beauty. Please visit our country too in future and do a documentary like this to tell the global community how beautiful it is... Thanks...
Thank you so much! We have heard countless wonderful things about Sri Lanka and definitely intend to visit it in the future, we just don't quite know when yet :)
Ahhh mine too!! Mauritius was once quoted by the famous, Mark Twain, that "Heaven was copied after Mauritius!" He must have surely loved it there! The people are so warm & friendly there & seem very inclusive of everyone, no matter where they hail from. Lovely culture & great food there. I like to travel the world & see what's outside of my country. At present i'm in Australia & it's pretty amazing here too. An amazing coastline in Aus & friendly locals. Cheers.
😮What a video! EPICCC! This whole video is the reason why we love mauritius so much! We just came back in December just gone and we got married in 2018 here truly amazing island! Great cinematography Lucas love your documentaries you do dude 💙💙
It's so stunning, it really is! A very belated Congrats on your marriage in beautiful Mauritius! I hope you guys get to go back there again some day. It appears however, that climate change is leaving behind, it's negative global impact. Take care & all the best to you both!
I just subscribed because of the excellent and explicit content, which I have never found on other videos. Thanks a lot for sharing such an amazing video.
I have been on Mauritius with my wife at our honeymoon last October. This Island is so peaceful, beaches are TOP of the world. If you consider to visit Mauritius, go for it. It will be best or one of the best times of your life.

WOW! Fantastic footage, amazing voiceover and simply stunning video. Keep up all the good work and vibes, we love watching your videos. :) Have lots of wonderful adventures together, Ruby and Gabi
Amazing video, thanks. We also love Mauritius and because of that produced a 90 minute movie about our journey there. You see on camera how people get healed and many more miracles.
Thanks Lucas for this spectacular video! I had enjoyed every snap of the content while watched it! Amazing, just amazing! Thanks for let us know about the under water waterfall specially. Thanks again.
Your videos are amazing. I really enjoy spending time watching them. You are an excellent storyteller with a calm voice and beautiful English pronunciation.
thanks for covering indian ocean mauritian sea,,am happy to see be in that adventure, furthermore we have exceptional biodiversity to exploit ,rivers lakes, local foods ,monuments and much more,we are very cool nation, mauritius is indeed a paradise island, welcome all ,
Hi guys, loved your personal way to travel and execute your travel vlog. It was something special. You differentiate well from many other travel vloggers, to your advantage. Also your production skills were excellent : shooting, mapping editing, including manuscript. Very pro 👍. Thank you for sharing ✌️.
Very well made documentary! I appreciate your focus on the birds. Hearing them is what reminds me of being back home. On a side note, I'm salty about the fact that the cook didn't mention Chinese cuisine.😅 Chinese cuisine makes up a big part of Mauritian cuisine.
Protection from the sun i suspect. The sun's UV rays are indeed dangerous, specifically to those with paler, olive or somewhat darker skins. My Doctor informed me a while ago, that even those with darker complexions must slip, slop, slap these days. It's pure fallacy that only pale skinned people burn and get skin cancer. My Mauritian & my Indian friend, both had benign moles removed from their skin, so they were very lucky!
@@INTUITIVENORSK2303 Indeed, it hits regardless of skin tone. But you're correct, Lucas snorkel in shirt to protect himself. He confirmed it in his Maldives episode.
I hope you could also visit Philippines. I enjoyed a lot watching your rugged trips and it's so soothing to hear your voice, the way you narrate the wonders of nature.
why doesnt anna ever talk? how long have you two been together when did you meet and where? Where are you guys from? how old are you both? how did you come about doing this? do you children? if so how do you manage this? if not when are you if you are. how do you support yourselves? what is your schooling? Ive watched so many of these videos that each one i become more curious about you two.
Anna is very camera shy, so she rarely talks in our videos. Funnily, in real life our roles are reversed as I am very shy 😅 We are school-sweethearts and have been together for more than a decade. We are from Germany and in our early thirties. Creating travel documentaries happened by accident, because we wanted to create a video about our Australia gap year that would both be a great memory for us but also appeal to family and friends. From then on, we simply did one such movie for each of our trips. We both have Masters degrees and hold part time jobs in communication roles :)
Really love your documentary. You captured the beauty of Mauritius with your camera and drone superbly. I am from Mauritius and i think you should have spent some time with the locals especially in the capital, Port Louise and see how the the locals get on with their lives. Having said that, what an amazing video.
If you're looking for jaw-dropping videos, Lucas T Jahn is the perfect channel for you! Great and outstanding video once again. You are the best video storyteller. I will soon run out of your asesome videos 📷📸 as I am watching back to back 😮😢🎉. Keep travelling, keep it up. Please follow Nepal's beautiful mountains one day. There is none who can tell better than you via your beautiful lenses. 📷📸📷📸👍👍✅✅
Mauritius is not little India. Develop the poor regions of India first. We Mauritians we are a mixture of Europe, Africans and Asians....while you are always dividing
@@meenbhemah7762 haha..from those poor regions your ancestors has come... Dont forget that...ethinic groups: 67% Indian. 28% Creole, 3% Chinese, 2% French and Religion :48.54% Hinduism Its sad when people dont apprecite the facts
And you disrespect other communities in Mauritius by calling Mauritius little india because other communities equally contributed in the economy. Without them, Mauritius would not be successful. Unity among different communities are more important
@@meenbhemah7762 ohhh shut up .....educate urself .... Pls Dont take out the different meaning out of simple sentence.... What nonsese u are ?? .... Beacause of people like you Racism is increasing.... Where did i say other people are bad or not Cooperative?? .... You are from some small world where u must have seen such stupid acts but i am not like that .... If u doesnt like the facts doesnt mean it will be changed.... Hence Dont u msg again...
My last comment on your channel was about how your videos are Nat Geo quality, but now that I have watched 3 of them I have found one small difference: I keep hearing the exact same wind sound effect in every landscape shot, no matter if it's on top a mountain or on the beach. It sounds like a blizzard or flying high wind, so it felt wrong hearing it so many times in a tropical island video. But other than that, I am amazed you create multiple videos at such high quality and long length. Do you do it all yourself or have staff?
You have good ears! :D You are fully correct, we only have a limited amount of SFX, so some of the wind sound effects are used repeatedly. I am trying to diversify it, but it is not always working. And yes, it is just the two of us, no one else :)
Happy to hear that! 😊 I'd say, atmospherically, we most loved Beachcomber Trou aux Biches. Scenically, Beachcomber Dinarobin was highly spectacular though, because of the mighty mountain towering above it :)
I am looking to book and go in May. With my family and parents inlaw. Really like the look of Dinarobin but am thinking isit a little remotely placed on the island so harder to do the touristy things? Thanks for your feedback
@@sdpwindowcleaning2363 Arguably, Dinarobin is better placed, I'd say :) It is closer to the airport and not far from the Black River Gorges National Park.
Great video! Thank you. We are planning a short stopover in Mauritius and will be doing a road trip around the island. Can you please share how to get to the first beach? thank you
