Bagel Master ohhhhh, you missed a part of the video, they added like a few millimeters of armor to the Maus, basically nothing, like 5mm, or like printer paper.

Now i haven’t played war thunder in awhile but I’m just sitting here wondering what good it does for new players since they removed the manus from the tech tree for anyone who didn’t already have it. Edit: yea had to add words ... I have played war thunder just not in awhile, was a bit upset when they removed the manus. I still play just a bit less.

@@godlessghost it means the Russian 122mm post war round can't pen it point blank anymore. Other than that I haven't experience anything different while playing it

What the heck is armor? I think that's the thing that existed until British tech tree was added, am I right, or was it the thing that reaches from 2.0 to 5.3? It's commonly used on tanks before 1951 if I'm right. Pls correct me if I'm wrong :(

I miss those days in War Thunder when heat wasn’t flying everywhere on the battlefield remember when the Maus first got added ahh it was amazing. Now pretty much every tier has HEAT, APDS and some ATGMS how far War Thunder has fallen

My problem is that gaijin shozl rebalance a bit, so that armor is relevant and super perusing and tiger 2 etc get hard to penetrate and tanks out of 50s or later with a lot of pen should not fight aiaginst ww2 adolfssteel boxes on tracks.

so now its even more powerful against downtiers/ the correct era tanks that its actually supposed to fight, and still going to get clapped by the post war stuff that it wasn't meant to fight. Seems counter-intuitive to everything they were trying to achieve. If only there were a way they could fix this, like idk, maybe some decompression and separation of most ww2 and post war tanks? I think that makes too much sense though, so they wont ever do it.

They removed the Maus from normal game because it was a hard to balance prototype vehicle. However they allow all the one off early cold war IS prototypes to stay despite the fact that they are also prototypes that functionally play the same as a maus and have the same weaknesses against later cold war vehicles that the maus has. You can bet your ass that if the maus had been a late war russian prototype they would have found a way to cram 3 of them in the Russian tree

@@brycel5642 yes, but the cannon is slow and can be disabled quite easily However the armor is extremely hard to piece from the front and angled

I hate that it got removed because I bet alot of players joined to get it (glad I did). But I love that it is so rare to see, because the amount of players that you can fool by shooting the 75 is priceless.

when i heard the maus, tiger 2 105mm and panther 2 were getting removed i rushed to get them and just got 1000 xp for the maus when it was removed. since then I've barely played Germany and still need 35 000 xp to get the maus.

I started playing the German tank tank tech tree just to unlock the Maus but I didn’t have enough time to unlock it, and probably never will. After that I quit playing war thunder because of that and because I totally suck at the game, so it wasn’t fun for me to play it anymore. But is it worth it to come back? Haven’t played for nearly 2 years.

To get the Tiger and the Maus and when I got the Tiger 2 the tank was ripped so my adventure was finished, I play like a couple of days a month now, all that grinding and pain just to have a tank I always wanted to use but nah they straight up bent me over and spanked me with a hot weels track bare ass

TBH, the Ojbect 120 is a OP undertiered as fuck tank with a APFSDS round that pens more than 400mm of armor and should be at 8.3 and not 7.7 where it faces Tigers which is beyond ridiculous and just plain retarded.

Unexpected SPANISH INQUISITION i think its mostly because its hull break so if it fights constant apfsds it wont have a chance much higher

@@PilotTed Having a good gun doesn't really qualify 8.3 by itself, at that br it would be side by side with the t10m, a tank that has good enough armor to bounce some shots even at 8.3, that goes 40km/h on an open field, has a 2 axis stabilizer, and has an aphe round that 1 shots anywhere with 280mm of pen, I feel it's unfair to say that the object 120 is op because it can face tigers I think that's more of a br matchmaking problem than the object 120 being too low a br, I mean tigers can face Sherman tanks as well but if you made the tiger2h 7.3 so it didn't fight shermans then it would be just plain bad.

@@thebravegallade731 But at 8.0 it's comparable to the object 906 which has twice the firerate and despite having less pen also has an aphe round which can easily kill tanks by hitting weakspots, it's faster, and has a stabilizer. Sure it has a lot of penetrating power, but still, My t10m should never ever be fighting 7.3 tanks but every 10 or so games I'll get downtiered from 8.3 to 7.3. It's more of a matchmaking/BR issue not the object 130 being too op. Without a doubt 6.7 Is the ultimate hellhole for uptiering/downteiring. 6.7 tanks suffer because when they're uptiered to 7.3 or 7.7 they get utterly decimated, 5.7 tanks suffer because when they get uptiered to 6.7 they can barely penetrate 6.7 heavy tanks or compete with 6.7 light tanks firepower and speed. The BR system is too compessed at the moment and it's a problem

armor changes are rarely for balence changes but mostly due to new evidence surfacing

Weather historical or not it’s armor really means nothing in a world of heat FS, Tow missiles and APFSDS rounds. If it gets down tiered sure it’s a monster but in its BR and if it gets uptiered it’s destroyed by anyone with more brains than a newt.

No actually. I read one of the old August 2019 dev posts and it will be available at some point. Main German tree at same spot as removed, yes, main tree research. And likely under same conditions as hidden.

Don't even get me started on the T32. At 7.0 and with its brother too, I WAS GOD in every same tier and down-tier match. I literally had the entire right side of the berlin map shooting at my turret with 128mm and 105mm and none of them penetrated. I took at least 50 hits, no way I didn't. Now... I don't even...

Hide your hull and expose only the turret with the t32. It has a weak side hull with a glaring weakspot frontally. The t32e1 removes the frontal weakness of the hull though.

The problem is with tanks that rely on their armor. If they downtiered they become the menace and when uptiered they are useless. Very hard to balance vehicles like this.
