I've never heard mavado try to rap, Ive been listening to him since 2006 and he hasnt changed his style. The only thing that has changed is that he Dj's on hip hop beats and its specific beats that fit his flow cause not all beats will fit his flow and Im sure he knows that. & I dont know if u know this but for years hip hop has been kind of a root for dancehall cause many beats coming out of jamaica has been influenced by hip hop. There are so many producers Ive heard say the use hip hop...

beats or in their music or hip hop influences the music they create. As for an international hit, Im sure many people would consider Im so special as an international hit. He premiered the video on 106 & park and millions of people watch that show. I cant tell you about the rest of America, but it was big in Florida, and i think also in New York too. Ive gone to many ghetto american clubs and thats like one of the only dancehall songs they play because its catchy and everybody can sing to it

Remember mavado has been in south florida for awhile, but he has not been here for 3 years good yet. I live in sth fl and i am watching him. The Gully God buss and deserves the glory and pride in his achievements. We all started from somewhere and at some point need to be on our own. Bounty Killer acts like he was borned the General or Ground God and he needs to stop acting like he deserves every bit of glory from artistes he buss. I was an Alliance / Gully Side fan instead of the Gaza business but I must admire that Kartel was greater than Killer at a point of his career . Every you go people want to hear Kartel, and it's the fans that decided that Kartel run things so Killer can't always jump up about he buss this body and that body ungrateful. If Mavado par with Big Hip Hop US artistes then he has all right to be proud of it. Not everyone gets signed by big U.S. Labels much a dancehall artiste. Dancehall isn't as big in the U.S. so it's a great achievement. Killer too bad mind and those who follow him probably haven't had any great achievements in life to know the feeling .

Check your facts and come again. All Killa says is don't disrespect the father, him. Killa never diss Ninja remember that. It is about principle. Also Bounty locked US too. Superbowl with Gwen Stefani, songs with Refugees, Jay-z etc. Killa didn't just buss these artistes but fought for them, and allowed them to raise when he was at the top. Ask yourself if Kartel will do the same?
