OMG I have been waiting for this exact video. Excellent job and this is now the standard for the Maverick install in my opinion. I will be copying... thank you
I installed the same kit in my Bronco and it's a HUGE improvement! Although I still have to find a workaround for the rear speakers that Ford has stifled in their head unit.
Few questions and please forgive me if I missed these in the video. 1) are you using all 4 channels for your kicker? 2) If you are using all 4, how did you compensate for the lower volume from the rear speakers?
It was kit 11-2 with kicker key. Though honestly I would order the kicker key separately. The model I got was an older model, the Amazon link I have in the description is for the newer model, with better channel controls.
Now that it's been a few weeks, can I ask how the JB Weld is holding up? Also, anything you'd do differently with any part of the install? I'm going to order the harness soon and tackle this soon. thanks
I cant seem to find that plug and play wiring kit to the head unit? Any way to get a link? Also, how does it sound? Thinking about doing this next month.
Hi, I have a 2023 hybrid. And bought this same kit. But my kicker Hideaway keeps going into protect mode and making pop sound when above 12 volume. Have you had any issues?
Just found this video of someone installing that happened to afford bronco, and they had to run power to it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XYo8Wv121wk.htmlsi=und5WvN-u6F4W4V5
@Mavvymods: i just purchased the 11-4 kit from plugnplay kits and he told me the kit provides the fuse and wire for power to the kicker key to run to the battery. It appears to me I will need to run direct power from the battery both for the kicker key and 10" kicker sub. I assume this is the same in all instances.
