I know this'll get buried in the comments but God I am SOOOOOO jealous of these guys. I"m in a wheelchair and can't drive a normal car due to having seizures for about the first 16 years of my life so I was black listed by my doctors from driving. I own a old 1994 Yamaha golf cart that I tool around my neighborhood in. It's got a 4" body lift and some off-road tires but it'll NEVER be as cool as what you guys do.
Just did the same to my RS1 and it’s outstanding! In my nasty whoop section where I ride I could do about 60-65 before my teeth felt like they were gonna fall out. Now I’m at 75+ and plush. I was in spring manufacturing and understand rates etc. I’ve designed springs for medical to ovens. You’d be amazed at the return. Good work fellas!
Great video! On Facebook you always see people say other brands vs shock therapy but the video doesn’t lie. I can’t legitimately say there is a huge difference between the way the machines jump. I’m a believer in shock therapy
Yes a couple of years back on my 18xpt. For Southern California deserts that's the very first mod I would recommend for any machine. Best $800 ever spent
SXSBlog.com Leo please stop zooming in so much and cropping off the heads of everyone. While you just stand behind the camera all the time please work on your cameraman skills. The rest of the SXS blog crew is learning how to wrench on vehicles. You can work on keeping people in frame. lol like the content just hard to watch sometimes.
Just put springs on the Turbo S. Went up to Manton over the weekend and it was burning right. Everyone in the group was saying it was rough, not sure what they were talking about. Huge improvement.
That is a shocking difference like you guys were sayin its visibly better can only imagine what it does for ride quality and love the xmaxx footage just got one of my own!
I sent the shocks from my General 4 down to ST and got the full work up. The best thing ever. Shocks are now one of the first things I will do in terms of mods. They sold me. Setting ride height was a pain. I didn’t have a compressor and had to fight those f’n adjustor rings against spring pressure. Plus the shocks had to come off to make adjustments (front mostly). I could have used that compressor. I think Eastwood has one like that.
Nice vid guys! Mike u had some good tutorial stuff in there good job. The xmaxx at the end was cool too. I just bought a udr. Rc thing is pretty addictive
Had the same thoughts when I put Shock Therapy on my XP1000 4 seat. Absolute best mod and incredible bang for the $ based on how much it changes the ride.
Awesome video as always. This video was perfect timing for me because I am getting ready to put new tenders all the way around my xpt and I ordered the same spring compressor so you just showed me how to use it. Thanks so much. I think you guys need a silver lake trip with all these new springs.Take care and stay safe. Best channel on RU-vid.👍👍
I have a few rc's and actually my x-max is my favorite...it can take a ton of abuse and rides over damn near everything, on of the best for all-around use. It's usually the unit I let people play with, especially kids lol.
One of my favorite videos from SxS lately. I will be ordering springs or maybe sending my shocks out soon??? Either way I’m sure I will hit up Rick when I do. Think we need some YXZ vs Beastmode in the parking lot test track!?
FYI, I have that tool, I bought it for my Shock Therapy spring swap on my 2021 X3. I changed them with that tool (with my teen daughters) in 2.5 hours without removing the shocks from the car.
I love that leo is being a good dude finnaly lol hahaha only joking i knew it was in him all along :)!! You guys r legit love the video and the content please keep it up!
Just a tip on that style spring compressor, put the compressor in the vise then the spring in the compressor. That way you can stablize the spring and ratchet at the same time. Makes it easier. Also I would almost guarantee that the instructions say to not use an impact tool, it will gull the threads after extended use.
I was getting the shakes seems I`m addicted to SXS blog, I have a set of spring compressors sorta like Doug described. Just a thought could you take that new spring compressor and hold 180 degree`s so the adjustment nut is on the bottom, should just need to swap the spring saddles { bits that hold the springs } around so they conform to spring angle with the adjusting nut on the bottom, it has to be able to be used either way up, or at least i hope. Thanks again for the fix.
Really enjoy your videos guys!👍🏼 But, I gotta know!! What’s going on with the Talon? Don’t you guys like it? Is there any good stuff coming up for the Talon? I’m a Honda guy and I’m really debating buying a Talon. I’m pretty good friends with some guys that work on and sell the shit out of Polaris and I’m just not sure that I could be able to buy a Razor. I don’t want a machine that has to be worked on steady.
Man, those springs just carry the fupa with ease! Can't believe how quiet the machine was. No more squeaks, clunks ,or chatter?!? Those just got bumped up on the list. Maybe next?
My phone is broke so you get a comment from Carrie hahahaha Great stuff, we are ordering that spring compressor for sure haha, nice rototilling hahahah
FYI guys, yes, ratchet straps are sketchy, but you can release them slowly a couple notches at a time for anything, not just springs, you don't have to release them all at once, just Google it.
I just put Eibachs on mine today, was bottoming out before but thats gone , definitely need to do some adjustments. Ride vid with new set up coming soon.
