I think PJ, Gafford, and Lively can all step up enough to cover his absence. What about Josh Green? He could do a little more offensively. Exum was a NON-FACTOR in the Clippers series, so hopefully he CAN provide some type of use in this seemingly less physically demanding series. Luka should shoot a little better this series at the very least (45% from 2, 35% from 3?) Can we ask him to make a little more shots but not be the best version of himself again given what we've seen from Kyrie? We should expect these guys to still combine for around 60 a night this series, win in rebounds, and play to a certain high caliber on the defensive end despite Kleber's injury. We still have elite wing defenders in DJJ and PJ, rim cloggers in D-Live and Gafford, defensive scrappy guards in Green and Exum, and our stars play with high levels of energy most of the time on the defensive end. Without question I think we have the edge in experience, a similar level of coach (Kidd has a bit more of resume), and an elite second option. Mavericks in 6!

Facts. Without Maxi they're small ball lineup is actually small, and now PJ has no legit backup at PF. Kidd will have to earn his money if the Mavs are going to overcome this and win the series.

PJ at the 5 is not ideal move unless we do not sacrifice size at the 4. But unfortunately we can only play Morris/Powell at backup 4. Need some playing time manoeuvring but PJ at 5 and DJJ at 4 would be extremely effective.

Exactly, Gafford/Lively are not comparable to Jonas. Both of them have way more agility, mobility and foot speed. Also, main source of offence is PnR which is very difficult to predict and guard when Lukai are running the show.

Luka is über competitive and he will be playing with a grudge, since national media is not giving him fair chance at MVP. I expect him to go back to the normal Luka who just tears your defence apart no matter what you throw at him. Kyrie was also snubbed from the Team USA and I think he will be playing with a lot of passion!

These stats mean nothing, it’s a 7 game series. Against Jazz there was no Doncic, the rest have been away games, two of those series we were the underdogs. We’re also better closers than we are kickstarters.

Luka is the better player though. We all know it, I love Kyrie but hes not on Lukas Level, both physically and Stat wise even when Kyrie was in his prime

@@Majestic-YT prime he still in it and only getting better he’s a better leader you can see it he get the same number as far as points scored and less shots which means he doesn’t need to take 30 shots to get 30 points stats are cool and all but Luka has not won anything in the nba and he holds the ball more than any other player so he has way more opportunities to make a play or score points ky is at 30+ a game on average when Luka does not play he a better scorer you can see it when they play.
