just want to apologize in advance; Dan was unable to complete the Tech Review Tuesday intro for this weeks episode. fingers crossed he has it done next week!
People are missing the point. It is with anything that is successful that the simplicity of it and success of an accepted product should operate straight out of the box without the need of instructions , I understand Casey’s mindset is if it is not simplistic in it inherent use of obvious display and you need to read instructions to clip a simple non functional item in place then it is obviously completely redundant.
This chart makes absolutely no sense, when you say the zoom’s camerasystem is similar to the Mavic one but in the same time you put it over the Mavic 2 pro quality 😅 wtf ?!
I've never watched this channel, but it appears that he actually has no idea what he's talking about when it comes to image quality, etc. I'm sure they're both great drones, but he's totally wrong in his opinion of which has the better quality. Perhaps, he doesn't solely mean image quality, but an unquantifiable personal scale. Meaning that the zoom is "quality". Funny he has so many subscribers.
@@candidweddingsphotography5364 Funny you're saying you've never watched this channel, yet you're already pointing out how he doesn't know what he's talking about, and wondering why he has so many subscribers! Must be he's a lucky guy then...
It's a fucking drone. What did you expect, to get them on the Dollar General? 10-15 years ago you'd pay thousands of dollars to be able to get shots from above...
with that my only concern that you dont know that drone how much time it crash landed what went wrong inside and 600 is to much to risk that in that case i would rather spend 999 on a new one
The Pro 2 is way better than the zoom since the camera has a way larger sensor. You need to watch some of the serious RU-vidrs that are 100% into camera skills etc. If Casey would record with no adjustment on at all on the cameras and then adjusted the colours, the pro 2 would look way better ( which Casey do mentioning the beginning @1:14 the dynamic range is larger = better picture=better colours . have a look at Kai on YT for example : )
@@istiaquebelal1997 Good idea! Maybe I can just give it away in a contest when I hit 1k Subscribers milestone. I do have two of the Phantom 4. I picked one up really cheap from my client because they didn't know how to use it. lol
I don't know if there's more detail but it looks sharpened. I'd wonder if the 2's sensor would match it well with some digital sharpening in post? I'd trade the brightness and the colours for the sharpening personally. What do you think?
Adrian MH that is because the footage from the original pro is over-sharpened and makes an illusion that it has a lot of detail but really the more recent ones have more detail especially with h2.65 (I saw a 30 minute comparison on it)
Nice, I think if you're doing professional drone work, having the Hasselblad is ultimately much better than having a zoom feature. Zoom would be amazing to have, but in terms of how often you use it, compared to the value of a 1 inch sensor, the Mavic 2 Pro wins as a more professional device.
In my opinion, quality of Mavic 2 Pro is much better than the zoom. The zoom does give you the ability to shoot in its own unique way. I love that vertigo effect but I can live without it. I’d much rather get insane high quality footage. Ideally, it would be great if the two models were combined. Maybe we’ll get that in a future model.
simply put THANKS for yor no BS reviews ....love it ... all the other stuff like flight time, dolly zoom and so on is simple to figure out depending on needs. My expieiance is one year flying magic pro 1....47 hours of flight time
Based off everything you said, your final placement was incorrect. The Zoom quality is less than both the P4P, and the M2P, so it shouldn't be that far to the right. It can be further up though, as it is in fact cheaper.
He probably factored the zoom feature as higher quality than the pro, while I personally think the pro camera is more worth it I can see the appeal of the zoom feature
Cause hes rich stupid ass. He can easily buy another one. Just cause YOU cant afford to throw shit around doesnt set the standard for how shit NEEDS be treated because YOU unfortunately cant afford to. Dont be mad at him cause he can afford to be careless with shit. Just cause its a rule in ur house doesnt mean its a rule for everyone. Take your delicate sensibility out of here.
Traveling Triathlete Not good enough. Casey, and others like him, are paid for these reviews by DJI. Which is illegal if not explicitly stated. Period.
If you don't like the Mavic Pro 2, I'll take it off your hands. I bought a Spark recently and love it! Was testing to see if I could get into it, and I'm obsessed.
I truly think, the greatest feature these drones have is the bigger censor! i dont feel like the zoom one is something you need, cause with 4k footage you can simply zoom and zoom AND ZOOM digitally in Premiere and still have a descent looking vid resolution-wise! I know zooming in with a zoom-in lence is better cause of the focal length, but considering the controls and mistakes that might happen with depth of field it sounds kinda hard to get out perfect footage out of it.
The old one was less impressive. The footage is way over sharpened and youtube isnt a great way to compare quality. The m2p is actually too good for youtube to handle.
Loving your videos Casey, always a big follower. Is the M2 Zoom footage jumpy on your computer too?? When comparing the 2 images the Mavic 1 seems so much smoother. (or is this my bad internet signal)
King AAA turn the saturation down or change the color profiles. I have the 1st gen mavic Pro as well the only complaint I have with the camera is to do with the gimbal. If you can get mavic Pro 1st gen for $800 or less refurbished or new from Dii, and you don’t need most bleeding edge. Do it, mostly defiantly. I have mavic Pro 1st gen, mavic Air, Spark and ordered the mavic 2 Pro (not zoom) Mavic Pro 1st gen is still great drone if you can get it for $800 or less cuz: 1. Occusync 1.0 and 2.0 are very similar in range and connection quality. Means less interference and stronger connection when drone is behind something or obstructed (happens even if you fly legally) 2. Battery life is exceptional regularly get over 20 minutes out of it still. 3. It’s still very portable... more portable than the 2nd gen Mavics as they are heavier and little thicker. 4. Camera quality i would rate top 5 for consumer drones. Have a lot of camera settings to tweak...maybe too much. 5. Have a lot of pro-level feature son the mavic 1st gen still like you can trim responsiveness and change how the aircraft behaves, how camera behaves, picture quality. 6. ton of redundancies.
Here is how I rate the drones based equal weighting of portability, quality and price: (mavics only) 1. Refurbished 1st gen mavic Pro ($799) 2. Mavic 2 Zoom for $1200... stunning product the quality and capabilities are worth it. 3. Mavic Air. ($750 sale) Fantastic portable drone, a lot of features for the price. Quality is 1st gen mavic Pro.. very solid .. suffers on battery runtime and range.. 4. Mavic 2 Pro ($1500). While all features and qualities are top notch, the price pulls it down to #4. Not a bad price at all! Just puts it position below others for what they offer. If someone was in the sub $1000 market for a “entry level” pro drone, I would suggest a refurbished mavic Pro 1st gen.. as debated as that maybe.. the price of $799 settles it. Occusync 1.0 is only 2nd to occusync 2.0z. So range and connection quality is far above wifi and is plenty. Battery run time is rated at 27 minutes, I manage around 20-24 minutes typical use and 18 minutes In sport mode rocketing around. Camera is very usable, a lot of camera settings and profiles and things to tweak. So if your willing and know what your doing you can get a lot out fo it. Slightly more portable than new gen of mavic 2... little lighter and little thinner. . I know I put mavic air on top of the list.. that’s based purely on even weighting. I love the mavic air and I often find it hard to deduce which drone I’m going to pack when traveling.. my issues with mavic air is mostly down to the WiFi system and the battery. WiFi is very prone to interference. And I certainly encountered that a few times even at the beach outside the hotels.. I guess a lot of WiFi to compete with. And battery is rated for 21 minutes.. and I realistically get on avg 15 minutes of flight time. And in sport mode forget it. It’s usable battery but I like mavic pro’s battery because I have a solid buffer if it gets lost or being blown a bit... battery mavic Pro is big enough that even when its low it has a lot of range and time left in the air compared to the mavic air.
A good Cafe will do $100K-$150K on 2500 S/f but a roaster w equipment running 24/7 and delivering roasted to other shops can reach $4 mii on 5K sq ft. Casey you can boost a cafe volume at will- partner w/ a good one and only takes a % of the upside after the date. It can boost both of you. Mount some displays w 368 content.
@@lowerquality what'll you mean it doesn't make sense? I'm simply saying that the video of this product was better. I like how she made the video. You understand now, Or do I need to translate it to another language.
Michael I'm assuming the "was better" and "really good" were both statements directed to Ijustine's video? Wouldn't you confuse people when you say "really good" with zero context?
Blake, Video is filled with tons of little details that make or break your footage. Math plays a part in a lot of it. For smooth footage you will want to follow the 180° rule. If you are shooting at 24 frames per second, you want your shutter speed to be "double" that, i.e. 1/48. This gives you some nice motion blur for that "cinematic" look. If you are shooting 60fps your shutter should be 1/120. On a DJI drone shooting in the bright sun, you will need to use ND (neutral density filters) to cut the amount of light coming in so you can get closer to the correct target shutter speed. If your shutter speed is too fast due to bright sun, your footage will looked warped (jelly effect). Next you have to have the correct setup for your timeline. Here's an easy example... if your timeline is 30fps and you bring in 60fps footage, you have twice the frames needed which allows you to slow the clip down to 50% or simply leave it at 100%. If you try to slow it down to 55% the number of frames shot no longer matches the fps of the timeline and the editing program has to make some adjustments, which results in choppy footage. So if Casey shoots in 24fps but edits in 30, the footage will not match mathematically and it will look choppy. Make sense? I'm sure there are more detailed explanations on youtube somewhere. Good luck!
Ohana Films I sure hope so. When I saw that lag I got nervous! I ordered one of each today. To go with my Mavic pro and Mavic Pro Platinum. We’re also running a P4P and Inspires 1&2. I think they will be a great addition to my business that has finally taken off this year after three years of pushing the market HARD! Super excited to have 20mp on a Mavic!! Casey usually you mention that these types of videos are non paid endorsements. You never mentioned this in this video. Was this a paid endorsement by DJI?? Thank you for your time and dedication to the drone technology.
In my country, Indonesia, any imported stuffs that are priced over USD100 will be charged 30-50% duty tax. Imagine buying those drone(s) and have them shipped here. USA and other advanced countries don't have that kind of duty tax.
@Wayne: If you buy only 1 pcs, it will be considered as personal items, it may get passed (no duty fee), but there's a chance Indonesian custom's officer tax it (I know lol). If you bring over than 1 pcs, then you will definitely get scanned and tagged, requires to pay duty on spot (arrival). Yea it sucks.
Thank you so much for your awesome reviews! I wasn't going to upgrade from my current mavic to the mavic Pro 2 but after watching your video I made the decision did it I get it Wednesday morning I'm extremely excited! Thank you very much for making me spend tons of extra money haha... ;)
Well done, well said, well put, Casey... I liked the Mavic Zoom the best too!! So true about which DJI should you buy! Mine is the Mavic Zoom, indeed. I'll have to wait a bit, but it's on my list... I have the Mavic Pro Platinum... I bought some cool propellers that light up different colors. Looks pretty cool at night. There are ones you can program, to have a few words that appear as the propellers spin...
One issue - I really don't see how the original Mavic Pro should have a better image quality than the Mavic Air which has a way higher bitrate.. I own both and the Mavic Air footage looks wayyy cleaner than the footage of the Mavic Pro that shows tons of artifacts in virtually all scenarios with high details in the frame. Thanks for early review though of the two new ones! :) can't wait to try them
Props on 10 mill I’m tryna get started on RU-vid but idk where to start there is so much to talk about and do. I have a decent camera and ok audio but what should I do?
Casey, you really should review and unbox the Xiaomi Mi Mijia M365 Electric Scooter, I think you would reallly like it! You can get around the NYC fast, It goes 15.5mph and you can ride up to 18.6 miles, give it a try, you wont be disappointed.
