I love the 70mm However, I picked up the Wide Angle lens- arrived yesterday- so now I have 4 lens options, options are good. .. all I need is for it to stop raining!
If you have issues grading D-logM or in fact any unconventional logarithmic format (such as the one from Z-Cam, the Z-log), you can use grading in ACES for that purpose and establish your own tables for consistency in the image.
Considering getting into and starting my own gig using drones for real estate and other photography that would be a good use for drones. However I've read in a few places that DJI products are at risk of being banned in the US and are already banned in first responder and other similar industries. Thoughts? Where can I read more rather than trust random search hits?
Hi Super video again. I also have the 3 Pro. What are you douing when go from normal til 70 mm. when make video then it about 0 EV. I go 50 fps. Shutter 100 and use ND 8 iso 100 and Aperture: f/5.6 When go to 70 mm. It goes to Aperture: f/2.8 and tjen only adjust is to set shutter “to high” Maby I must try to use ND 16 and then use iso 200 on the 4/3 cam. and then use iso 100 on the 70 mm. How does you do that?? Ideal ND filter must be with 3 different ND filter in one. Or what?
Just curious, Those tight shots in the stairwell and inside the house, is the drone flying or are you hand filming? If I had one I don't know if I could trust flying in such close proximity.
You're such a stud! I'm trying to get onboard with the 70mm train but I get stuck on the 1/1.3 sensor... "Hi, my name is Lon, and I'm an image sensor snob. It's been 23 days since I last turned my nose up at anything less than 4/3rds sensor images or footage".
Great demo of how the new 70mm camera can get in tight on subjects and get shots the wide angle camera couldn't capture. I can see how this could be very helpful for restate work. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Ken, seeing this video is about 5 months prior but was going to ask if you still stand by the mavic 3 pro being your go to for real estate or has anything new come out since this video that you would recommend more. i crashed my drone unfortunately today and am in need of a replacement but cant seem to make the right choice.
It’s going to depend on your needs , I love the quality of the Mavic 3 Pro it’s certainly the best. If price isn’t an objection then it’s the best way to go. Second would be the air 3
Very nice review and video. You always put out great content which is why I am a long-time subscriber. Good to hear the honorable mention of the Air2S and sure the new Mavic 3 Pro is a better tool. But I have two Air2S’s (one backup hacked DJI stuff) with a smart controller and standard controller. For my situation, I cannot justify the cost of the M3P and payback would be difficult. The realtors in my area do not pay much for aerials, they do not have the critical eye and the Air2S puts out good enough pictures which are mostly requested. My realtor wife does not pay me at all, so I am sticking with my Air2S fleet. I am going to sign up for your real estate course though and I am sure it would be beneficial. I have had the 107 for a while, so do not need that training. Keep up the great work.
Can you do a video on Settings for smooth video.. No one has done one yet... Ive tried but this compared to the M2 Pro is so jumpy and sensitive.. cant find the balance. I need my cinematic set up again.
When you say some camera shake, is it enough shake that the untrained eye can spot & notice or is it something that us as the editors will see doing fine detail work? Amazing content as always sir!
Awesome video as always Ken. Love these real estate ones. And it's great of you to share what you captured. I would love this drone but it's out of my price range. I need to start doing some work with my drones then might be able to afford one. Keep up the great work.
I'm a Realtor out in OC looking to get into drones to supplement my business and after watching previous videos of yours was going to grab the avata to just do fly throughs. Would you recommend paying the extra to get this one to accomplish everything with one craft? Do you ever edit out stills for the photo reel? MLS reduces the quality significantly anyhow. Also, I have a buddy who can do anything with a 3d printer. Do you know if that thing can be modified to retract less and accommodate prop guards?
If your wanting a drone strictly for indoor fly throughs and dont want to build a tiny/cine whoop then I would get the avata. Its very stable indoor with and without gps which is great for new pilots. I would not recommend using the DJI Mavic 3 Pro indoors due to its size and the safety of it. The avata has built in prop guards which fully surround the props. You can but prop guards for the pro but they dont completely contain the props. If your going to be doing outdoor flights you will need a Part 107 License. Then I would shoot for the pro for the outside. (you also have the option to just hold the mavic 3 pro and walk it through indoors instead of flying with the avata)
The new mavic pro 3 is a beast but what will be funny is if the mavic air comes out and is a cheaper beast do you think you think you would recommend that one for real estate too. 😊
What software are you using with your Mavic 3 Pro for residential real estate that's easier to use, more affordable, with the ability to utilize automated flight planning?
Another extremely helpful and useful video. Thanks Ken. And your work is just gorgeous! Hey, is your affiliate link for the M3Pro in your description? Also for the Avata?
At 8:21, how did you showcase the proeperty with the lines?

DoBo, can you please help me out? It’s about the Ribbed Riders for Avata. I can’t find video reviews for it that shows how squishy is that material. I’m considering it purchasing, but since it’s considerably more expensive than some alternatives, I’d appreciate if I could see more videos about it.
Dude your comment on wide shots and realtors always wanting wide shots…..I couldn’t you how many times, I tried to explain that having a diversity of focal length will help them show details and/or concentrate on those details for selling points……actions speak louder than words because I would deliver a file with diversity of focal length of all shots for them to get it. They’re stubborn AF.
Hey bro thank you for video and opinion, also last night in Philly Drone Life a dumbass booted you it wasn’t Mikey and I dunno why that dude did….. go back sometime man its fun and funny over there and Mikey will welcome you with a red carpet bruh……
Our company has used many DJI birds, even bought the MPro 3 and still we chose the E2P from Autel. We just love the color, and detail over the DJI, plus we can fly the drone without having to wait for unlock codes which can be a damn bear around here. Many complain about the sticks on the Autel but we flew Yuneec for years which were similar in that "inner sensitivity"
