i really like watchin your vids mate thanks fer posting and greetings from tasmania............ the south island and wide open unspoilt terrain make me want to relocate tho tassie has to be IT for the time being
Cheers bro! awesome little place to be and hang out. Do check with in with DoC though! been some recent damages there and feel they are on the verge of closing it or atleast restricting access...
Hey Jono. Me and some mates are going up to mavora in a xouple of weeks. Just was wanting to know how long it takes to get to the end of the track and back if you know. Cheers
If from leaving the campground at the base of the lake and heading up and back, I would allow a full day (most of a day) to enjoy it. Would probably only be an hour or 2 to the hut and then that again on return. Haven't been in for a couple years now,. Also, make sure you register and get the gate code through DoC now as it has since been gated.
@@lostsheepadventures thankyou. I have already got the gate code for the date we have planned to go. Plan to head up on Saturday and stay at the camp ground. then on sunday head up the 4wd track and then back home 🙂
love your videos mate just got myself a wrangler jk fully stock. Came from the world of hoon cars, so 4wd is very new to me do you have any recommendations for a beginners track that can be done without any modifications/recovery gear? A light dirt/gravel track in or around the Christchurch area massive thanks and keep up the awesome videos Note: wheels are factory 17's with very crappy all terrains
Awesome to hear you've joined the world of Jeeps! Check out another video on the channel. Older video, but features Loch Katrine. A nice little weekend getaway from Christchurch to get the feel of adventure and 4 wheel driving. I do hear its always windy out there though haha
@@lostsheepadventures ah well atleast you tried maybe he'll stumble across this video and read the comments and realized the missed opportunity. thanks for another great video man
Yeah mate, have a browse of the channel. Couple videos in there showcasing Macetown in various seasons. Through summer the Jimny would do it no problems. Just be wary on some of the crossings for possible holes and for the most part. Through winter it would smash it out too. Just maybe a snorkel, but if you know ya limits then worth a shot.
Best way man is to support me as a Voyager tiered Patron through Patreon. Coming on trips is primarily reserved for those supporting the channel the most. Cheers though man!
