April 7, 2017 - Dallas Mavericks fan, Courtney, participates in Starpower Home Entertainment's Starpower Shoot Out and wins a Sony 4K TV! The crowd (including Dirk) go wild! Visit getstarpower.com for more.
Ikr I was like, “wow nailing a half court shot in 1 go while wearing a Dirk Nowitzki shirt with him watching, celebrating the shot with him and winning a TV?” Boi that is the best right there
A TV is a sorry ass prize. At least make it a brand new car, not a shitty one either. Or an econo box like Price is Right would always do when Bob Barker was dealing.
@@invictuz4803 She had 30 seconds for the free throws and three point shot. So could shoot as many times until the clock ran out. She only got one half court shot attempt though.
I love to see players watching their fans on the court and celebrating once their fans made it and win something. It shows these players really love their fans and doesnt ignore them, though they are some players who ignore or doesnt even watch them.
@@edwardmclaughlin8851 - It's always hilarious when some entitled simpleton thinks he has the right to dictate to others how they may speak on social media... Who died and made YOU the sole arbiter of social media etiquette? grow the fuck up.. probably some weak-ass old fart pretending he's still tough anyway lol
Saw this live on a Dallas road trip back in 17’. I was probably the only Spurs fan in that building, my whole section went crazy, I was high fiving many mavs fans in a Duncan jersey lol… good memories… 👏🏽
I'm super happy for Courtney and don't know her...lol. Seriously, it's great the crowd authentically cheering...unity is a beautiful thing. God's love and blessings!!!
Keith Moriyama - I know what you mean. But being somewhat introverted and claustrophobic, I handling things a lot better than most. We'll all develop a new normal.
@@MeMeDaVinci no, the tv was meaningless, she won the hearts of every fan in the building, and the players, and especially her favorite player, right in front of them all. that is winning big.
This might be my favorite basketball moment of all time. From her sincere surprise and happiness at making the shot to the sheer joy of everyone in sight this is simply awesome! I wish she’d received better prizes but the happiness exuded by all makes me happy every time I watch.
What a nice little video to put a smile on my face as wide as the Humber Bridge especially during lockdown!!!Great reactions.Lots of love from carl in England UK
Honestly if you offered me a free 65 inch 4k whatever TV and said "or you can drill a halfcourt shot in front of dirk" I'd take the half court shot so fast.
That will be the best moment of her life, nothing not even having a child will be more memorable than this moment, she will spend the rest of her days reminiscing of that shot and telling her grandkids of the time she made the half court shot.
@@hairlokk8672 Yes, we realize this is a promotion, that's obvious. All these "half time difficult shot" promotions over the years have had company sponsors. That's a given. The prizes fans could win in those other promotions though were for example, $10,000, $20,000, $75,000, $77,777, $95,000, a new BMW or even a $1,000,000 opportunity (all real examples). Those prizes are much more impressive than a TV one could buy for $600-$700 on Black Friday. So while yes it is a promotion, it is still very much associated with the Dallas Mavericks brand. That's unavoidable. It makes the Mavs and Mark Cuban look cheap (even though it's sponsored by Starpower) not only for the derisory prize but also because the Mavs were paid a huge amount of money by the sponsor so they could give Courtney a TV.
@@JamesExcell-InterJex we're ruining social interactions for fear of offending someone, even if it's someone unrelated to the situation, and those people can still ruin lives. Wonder how far this will go
@Rocky Croods yeah I'm afraid of my life being ruined for zero reason. All it takes is one liar and I'm done for. You can go hug random people, won't be long til one cries rape. Guaranteed
@Rocky Croods are you saying that I don't or that I shouldn't? Both are wrong and kind of weird for you to say. I don't hug random women. You can if you want. Too many cases of something negative happening though.
This is funkin awesome. Love the dude under the basket knew it was going in. And that unmistakable snap of the ball just hitting the bottom of the net. They must have a mic right there.
I don’t know why this came up on my feed so long after the actual event , but how cool is that? She seemed really casual and struggled with the first couple of shots but then nothing but net 🏀on the half court shot ! Good for her.🎉
The crazy part is she actually shot it. That wasn't a one handed hope and pray heave that was an I got this two handed nothing but net half court three pointer. If that was an NBA player making that shot last seconds of first half much less end of game that would have been sports center high light. Damn!!!!!
