This song will always hold a special place in my heart. It is the source of one of my happiest memories. I was playing DDR in a local theater arcade, it was Saturday night, and a bunch of people were there for a big blockbuster. Mind you this was back in the day when playing DDR really well would actually draw a crowd. Probably a couple dozen people watching while they waited for their flick. I was warmed up from an earlier game, and I was eating it up. I had dropped some great scores on some Lv. 9 songs and was really feeling myself, so I threw on this number to finish. I wasn’t at my peak yet at this point, still really fresh into the Lv. 10 block. I usually struggled mightily with this chart. I don’t think I had ever done better than a weak A rank. I just utterly destroyed it. I was on some other shit that day because the truth is the crowds usually make me too self conscious to play well and I bomb. But this night was different. I ended the song with a full combo, a AA, and a run at the Extra Stage. I failed that, but everyone gave me a huge round of applause at the end of it. I remember being so out of breath that I just sat down on the pad and toweled my sweaty ass off while people cheered. The applause wasn’t drawn out, it was just a few seconds and then off they all went, no big deal. For them anyway. Me? I’ll remember it forever.
It's a remix of the Max series in general, it blends elements of Max 300 and MaxX Unlimited. I hear both songs in it...but the majority of the song is borrowed from Max 300.
I have DDR ultramix to and I never actually completed Max x on heavy and when I popped the disc in for the first time in 15 years and the got a d rank on heavy this song unlocked and I was flabbergasted that I never heard it before until about a month ago it's my favorite to say the least
I will never understand why they called this one a Max 300 Remix. It's definitely a MAXX Unlimited remix, and anyone who's heard both songs knows this. Except for whoever cleared this song, apparently.
Yea I was thinking same exact thing. Gotta love the song tho it's got a good remix to it even know it sounds more like the Max Unlimited version kind. Kinda wished they woulda renamed it Max 300 Unlimited. Think that would'a been good yea?
They probably thought that the name might have been too long... MaxX Unlimited (Super-Max-Me Mix) vs. MAX 300 (Super-Max-Me Mix). Maybe for simplicity purposes?
I actually got a AAA on this song on challenge (or oni I some people call it) on my first try but I couldn't get that same rank on the harder challenge version for the life of me. The highest rank on the harder version was a AA for me! I still love the song but I just wish that the makers of this song could've made a full version for the Super Max-Me Mix of Max 300!
Well, calling this song "MAX 300" is a bit silly, though. the song's BPM reaches 320 and slows down to about 140, which is what MaxX Unlimited's BPM is all about.
This song was one of the biggest disappointments I ever experienced in life. I played Extreme 2 on home console and was incredibly saddened by no Max Boss Song. The next one I got at home was Supernova 2. After going through the strange story mode tears filled my eyes. ANOTHER MAX SONG?! My excitement was immediately crushed by a horrible track and chart. Fascination Max was cool to push the BPM limits, but it wasn't real Max and not even close to 300 and Unlimited
Tbh I think this is a good edition to the max series. Yeah it's a bit weird but the chart isn't hard and the song is quite nice sounding. This is alot better than Healing D. Vision.
