"We gotta have an independent commission to find out whether im telling the truth." It's true that he didn't say those exact words, but when Max said he was up there not telling the truth - the guy retorted "that's why we need an independent commission" - lol!
Max is right, basically; Raskin should know better than to distort things. He's right on the basics: that we need an independent commission. There is enough to say against Trump without going overboard into exaggeration.
Max to the max, always been brave and have beautiful soul, I love all his work, a highly humane, ethical, smart and only speaks of things that matter, he's one of few.
This guy supports medicare for all, minimum wage increase, opposed citizens united, he actually raised the LEAST amount of money in his primary against Chris Matthews' wife and a millionaire. The issue is that he's drunk the kool-aid...

Max Blumenthal is as bright and has as much integrity as anyone in the media or politics today. Jamie Raskin has been terrific on many issues, and is very bright (and I admire his father greatly), but he has some blind spots (or perhaps simply lack of knowledge or understanding in some areas) that only someone like Max can appropriately and effectively illuminate. Let's all commit to the truth and to the highest of values, like Max Blumenthal! And help people like Jamie Raskin live up to his obvious high potential.
I respect Rep. Jaime for at least staying and answering a large amount of the questions. Maxine Waters just left Michael Tracey after the second question. We need more politicians who answer tough questions from reporters. Great job on both of your parts.

Whooooa....okay, many things here. First, this was not some overwhelming victory for Max Blumenthal's journalism. Sure, he asked the tough questions and wasn't going to let Raskin off the hook, and good for him on that - but his tactics were combative and arrogant and desperate. It seemed like he went in there with an agenda to presuppose that all of Raskin's claims were lies, and he didn't let the congressman finish a point until he threw out another accusation. Both of them looked bad. Raskin was certainly off his game. The RT quote for example.... that he hosted a show vs. was interviewed on RT... desperate for a "victory" on semantics.. give me a break. That all being said. Raskin looked bad. I think he may have gotten ahead of himself on the Russia issue and needs to revise his information because it looks like he's cherrypicking. And that last statement about regime change did not help his case AT ALL. Knowing his background, I would bet that he misspoke and is not advocating a US-led regime change, but would be supportive in a soft-power way of internally-driven democratic uprising (though Russia, unfortunately, is a long way away from that). Raskin should refine his statements on foreign policy, he is much sharper on domestic issues like healthcare and money in politics, where he truly does have Progressive cred. Some constituents say he seems to be grandstanding on this issue and trying to impeach Trump, but the thing is he's on the Oversight and Judiciary committees, where this is exactly the thing he would be focusing on. I'm a constituent and can vouch for Raskin being the ultimate PROGRESSIVE on virtually every domestic issue. He has my vote no question in 2018, and given that he represents places like Silver Spring and Bethesda he'll have the seat for as long as he wants it, but interviews like this worry me. This is not representative of his contribution here in Maryland.

Max got completely owned. Wouldn't even let the guy speak. I guess Max is waiting to inherit the million of dollars his dad makes from the most deplorable governments around the world. Didn't know much about Raskin but he seems fantastic.
