My parrots always freaked out if I wore a hat! Once I walked into the room where the cage is with my hair up in purple rollers. My Grey screamed, fell from his perch onto the floor of his cage on his back! I think he thought something was eating my head!

The problem is you didn't ask Max permission to wear the Hat. He's not happy you're doing things without his input and throws the Hat around in an attempt to rectify the situation. He hopes you learned your lesson.
Max doesn’t seem interested in the St paddy’s day garb. If birds had nationalities, I imagine Max would be Italian. The way he’s so passionate, dramatic (and loud) 🤣❤️

I am in love with his ceilings! We are in the process of remodeling a home that we will be moving to and my contractor threatened to quit when I showed him dans ceiling and said I wanted it 😂

Yes ma’am, it truly is. We are remodeling an old house and my husband says I’m spending all this money to make it still look 200 years old, lol. I love all old wood and original stuff, the older the better!

Oh Dan, you are so lucky. My B&G would have screamed until he got hold of the hat, then would have destroyed it in 3 seconds, plus my Amazon would be so frightened of it that he would self-isolate in his cage til I left. My special needs cockatiel would just poop on it. Max is much better behaved. Good boy Max! You Da Best!
Dan, you look great in that bowler. 🎩 My parrot Brutus became upset if I put on a hat or cap. He would look from the hat, then at my face and would repeat that a number of times. Seems like he was trying to figure out if the hat was attacking me and trying to judge my expression. What is it about hats that bother some birds? 🤔 The closeups of Max are simply gorgeous. 🤩 💖
Birds don't recognize faces like we do, because they have feathers all over their body. They tend to confuse clothes with our bodies. It takes them a while to learn that humans have clothes and that the clothes are not part of the human.
