Ops
i thought it was weird that they all abandoned their positions to help the wounded soldier, or was the fight over? my first thought was they all failed but they passed so im asuming since it was a drill the firefight was done once they got the wounded to safety
Not sure, but remember they are still newbies at this stage. They have years of training and field experience ahead of them to become real SF soldiers. Also some of them will be weeded out during the training.
23:45 60 people were qualified, but only 14 got in? I just question the amount of losses Norwegian special forces can take before they become combat inefficient. Special forces or not, one big mistake or oversight by being outmaneuvered by the enemy can cost them a bunch of people. Whats plan B if that happens? Wait another year for new troops to be educated before committing more to the situation that already was serious enough to produce the losses in the first place... Dosent sound reassuring.
Odd Henrik Brekke I stand corrected on the 60 number. Dont know why I typed that. Must have heard wrong, but still... They only had "room" for half of the qualified guys. Your correction dosent really address my point though.
The same thing happens in every nations SF. what are you going to do with the extra guys? there is no team for them to operate in. Because of this, they take the best of the ones who qualified.
Du finner alt på forsvarets hjemmeside, men om jeg ikke tar feil så ja. Fallskjermjeger som førstegangstjeneste er en ett-års ''utdannelse'' som ikke har noen plikttjeneste etter endt førstegangstjeneste :).
I just stumbled over this video...what language is this? It sounds like a bunch of Germans got so extremely drunk that they started to walk straight into walls, got head injuries and this is the result. So it’s Germanic...is it Swedish? Maybe Danish? Thanks! A confused US soldier...(I’ve been around Norwegian soldiers before...they dunked me in a frozen lake the bastards...and Norwegian sounds too removed from German, too bizarre for what is spoken here. So...Danish? LOL now that I wrote that it probably IS Norwegian, fuk if I know)
They are... *drum roll* "Frozen lake dunking bastards from Norway!" They spoke several different Norwegian dialects in this video, and (for foreigners) some of them might sound Swedish and/or Danish, so you were totally in the ballpark on that one!
