I miss the online multiplayer of this game so much. Nothing comes close to the feeling it had. The slow and heavy movement of the characters, combined with physics, and the easy to kill - hard to aim design made it feel so satisfying to play
Hopefully GTA 6 will replicate the one-to-one gunplay of Max Payne 3 and it's multiplayer cause it's honestly some of the most fun I've had in a game let alone multiplayer in a long time ngl
This is the kind of multiplayer I love, didn't even know Max Payne 3 had a multiplayer mode like this. Third person, fast paced combat and action, smaller maps, fun game modes, no open world bs. This is what I call fun gameplay.
Shit was so hectic, it felt like you were part of some street gang or paramilitary having these crazy firefights in the slums, bus stations, office buildings. All the animations, details, customization and shit to make it all so fun bruh
I played it nonstop on 360 back in the day I really hate they shit the servers down makes zero fuckin sense considering Gta 4 servers still up and running
@@vadariousb GTA 4 servers don't cost anything to run same with RDR cuz they're p2p. MP3 and GTA Online run on Rockstar servers but yeah no idea why they had to shut it down
Gta 6 needs this shooting mechanics because in my opinion i love red dead 2 probably one of my favourite games but max Payne 3 had the best third person shooting.

Wow man that was cool the way he shot him mid movement and he rag doll flopped over that trolley or whatever it was, that looked so cool man. I never played M-P-3 online I only played the story mode but it was a great game and I would still play it in 2022.
@@docrobotnik247 Yeah man I think Rockstar have been slacking with their gunplay and gameplay the last couple of games. Doesn't feel as satisfying. I am not sure what you mean about the GTA V gunplay not being as bad on ps3, was there a difference?
@@lottonthewizard4352 there was/is way less guns so you could get good headshots with weak pistols from good distances away(rewarding) but now there's too many types, especially pistols leading to need to shoot people in the head multiple times, even with machine guns lol, it's terrible tbh but they did make the pistols more accurate on ps5, they defo have tweaked it for every gen. Ps3 best, then ps5 but ps4 was worst for shooting I'd say

Wow. I'm 31 and I can't believe I didn't play this game. Looks like a masterpiece. Absolutely amazing that they managed to out perform shooting mechanics in GTA V in 2013 and still get rejected for funding to make a Max Payne 4

You will never have a multiplayer experience like this on new gen consoles. Games now may have better graphics and realism but definitely not as much fun..
5:07 for all my GTA 4 veterans, did anyone catch that rockstar used the same hit/death audio sound file that they had for some of the female characters in GTA 4 online when they get shot/hurt. Sorry if that sounds weird, I must have at least spent 3000+ hours on GTA 4 in my lifetime 🥴
Yep they used some sound effects from GTA 4: like when you stun someone with the stun gun they scream like the npc from GTA 4, other times you can hear Niko's death sound in single player..
I used to run around as Mona, always dual wielding, one being high power (the magnum revolver if I'm not mistaken) and the other anything with fast fire rate. It was too OP, as the high power gun would take 50-70% in the first shot, then the fast gun would take 1-2 bulllets to finish off. Way faster than anything two-handed most of the time.

@@vadariousb GTA 4 doesn't need servers to run on except the Xbox live and PlayStation network servers of course. It never had anything to be saved on servers load it up on your next boot up. While MP3 and GTAO on PS3/360 did. That's why multiplayer mode for RDR1 and GTA IV is still going strong on consoles. Edit: I Realised now it's you whom I replied to 2 days before, lol. Anyway, I had to make it clear last time, the servers that were shutdown are probably being used for GTAO on PS5/Xbox X|S.
How exactly did they have different movement that causes unfair advantage, animations are literally the same on both genders... Hitboxes however are slightly smaller!
Oh man... if my pc would run Max Payne 3 properly I would enjoy this Multiplayer Update: It can run! But it's on lowest settings, sometimes it has lag spikes on certain parts, but it's playable. I don't know if i can do multiplayer, i think it would be laggy
Organize them on the Steam forums or Discord, I'm guessing. Most games that are hosted now are Soft Lock, which is terrible. Let's just call it auto aim, because that's what it is. I couldn't play like I do in this video if I was up against controller users with auto aim. It's hard enough to play against the regulars who tend to use the same exploits, but auto aim just kills it. Most of the people who play in Free Aim are newbies who will leave if you're too good, or kick, and those groups are pretty small usually. Maybe two players. Now and then you do find a decently sized group of regulars playing in Free Aim.
