Max Richter's score was an extra character. Lol dramatic scene starts and you hear that piano start chiming in and your mind goes "oh no ...this is about to get WORSE?"
It truly is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.. It makes me feel things no language could ever describe because I believe that no word could ever explain such a feeling. Music is not explainable, and yet it is one of the most powerful things that exist, and one of the only things that's able to create such a connection between us.. And THIS, this is the proof of it. Music it is. A true masterpiece.
I cannot explain the shivers i get whenever i hear this piece . Max Richter gave The Leftovers its soul. Superb acting and genius scenario aside, this piece just made it go full circle. It's all in there, sadness, grief, anger, tragedy.. but also hope, peace, determination..
The violinist in red glasses is incredible, but i noticed near the climax of the song the girl behind her starts playing with her in sync… frickin incredible skills. All involved
I first heard this fantastic composition while watching Peaky Blinders (S5E4), a TV show produced by the BBC and available on Netflix. I felt in a trance while listening to it and I still feel the same way whenever I listen to it. Congratulations to Max Richter for composing and to the musicians in the video for the performance. Thank you for sharing.
The Leftovers is one of only a few shows that frequently made me get emotional. Much of that was due to the actors' abilities to portray loss and gried, but the soundtrack amplified all of the feelings times 10. I know many people will never watch The Leftovers, which is unfortunately because it is truly one of the greatest shows ever made.
Sublime. I recently watched "The Leftovers" again and it's eerily relevant for this moment...and what a joy to see this piece played live. Thank you....
Breathtaking! I'm still waiting for her live rendition of 'November' by Max Richter. PLEASE , there is only one live rendition captured on video and it's from the Forbidden city in Beijing by Marie Samuelsen . The world needs to witness Angele supreme talent ... make it big with an incredible experience for the ears and supported by amazing visuals and lighting.
I've heard this from a show called "Peaky Blinders" and immediately was amazed by the music plus it fitted well with the scene . So many mentions about a show called " The Leftovers" really curious about it .

@@robertosaldias6181 Sim! Assisti. Outra série espetacular de roteiro perfeito. As duas trabalham muito bem em mexer com nosso psicológico. Você tem bom gosto 🙏
When I listen to this sublime music, I'm compelled to translate the visions it evokes into words. This is what I see, as the music progresses: Then, with despair in his heart, he starts walking Through the darkness tinged with his thoughts and memories Ever wanting to get away from himself, this life Feeling a distant call of redemption and following its echo As he keeps on, the echoes begin to sound clearer, louder And the night begins to glow with a sublime light That lights up the pathway to his soul An elation begins to fill him within, and the colours awaken Black to gray to blue to violet to pink to crimson to gold As the world within him reveals its grandeur He knows he's free, and nothing can bind him anymore And the ground beneath his feet starts to lose its grip As he rises step by step, above himself And starts blending with the light, reflecting and refracting Till all the colours blend into a kaleidoscopic ecstasy And then a blissful dissolution into eternity...
Definitely not trying to rain on the Leftovers it was a great watch and this song made it whole. However, if you haven't had the opportunity to watch Peaky Blinders they also use this song in season 5 episode 4. I would suggest you watch the whole 5 seasons and not skip because this song and that scene about made a grown man cry.lol Seriously, it was the perfect scene with the perfect song and the emotions pour out. You can't help it. Truly was an amazing show but I would have to say it is embedded in my brain and I don't think I will ever forget how that felt.
so beautiful builds to an emotional crescendo then with the last chord leaves me as if I brushed against the Void, after which I need a few minutes to recover in silence the feeling is so intense
It has "everything" - every emotion that comes from the past to this moment and what it will bring…. His writing skills and his creativity is brilliant yet hard to explain. Consciously crafted and conveys that our lives are in a mystery. I love it
Pure elegance, one of the most powerful, most emotional pieces of music my ears have ever had the honour of listening to. The minute I heard it in a tv show I rushed to search what’s it was and where I could get it.
Yo ya conocía a Max Richter desde The Blue Notebooks, cuando descubrí que había compuesto música para una serie de TV, corrí a verla de inmediato. ¡Tremenda obra maestra!
When you race through the memories of covid ,the wars , the misery of conquests , the dark ages ,the Bronze Age ,prehistory and the evolution of our species and our predecessors … this performance is a celebration of what it is to release the damsel of beauty to be found in the human mind ..absolutely brilliant 👍🎩🙏🏿🙏✨
A to jeste nechapete skutecnou podstatu a odkaz serialu...
The series is called ‘The Leftovers’, 3 seasons first aired on HBO from June 2014 to June 2017. The soundtrack was by Max Richter. A phenomenal series.
The LeftOver é sem dúvida uma das melhores séries já produzidas e essa trila sonora encaixou perfeitamente. Uma pena que aqui no Brasil ela nao ficou tão famosa.
I can’t tell anyone how much I love this. So I’ll post it on RU-vid. The mysterious, ominous, dark, luring, hopeful, hopeless, beautiful, dark, complex, simplistic. Brilliantly crafted - Delicately Pours out so much emotion. How did he do it? What was on his mind? I really like Max Richter. Thank you
Simply stated, I find myself gravitating to this performance again and again. I watch/listen several times a year. It's good for my soul. I know it is.
