Maxs surprise came cause he was probably told the distance beetween drivers and it was like 5 seconds beetween Alo and Lec at some point, so be was flabbergasped that Alonso came that close to Leclerc at the end. Alonso was the fastest driver on the track jn the last 10 laps
Both sides arguing about the impact the safety car had on Max, and Max just like “that happens”. I swear the fans and media make up 90% of the f1 nonsense in their own heads.
@@Kaimax61 Merc gained a ton of bandwagon fans during the turbo hybrid era. They only became Merc fans because Merc was winning and this somehow made their lives more fulfilling. Now that Merc is losing they are back to their empty lives and hate RB because of it.
Charles is such a sweet kid man, he pulled that Italian sled across as fast as it could go. Also, it’s fascinating to see and hear how cut-throat Max and Checo can be towards each other on track and then they just change hats, leave it in the car, and are ribbing each other like brothers afterwards. We’re lucky to see Checo rise to the occasion and take it to Max like he has so far.
We’ll said. I wonder how many others in the grid would still keep it cool with max tho… he really does cross the line at times but checo is such a cool headed assassin. Great dynamic he pushes max on and off the track they are lethal
Looking from the behaviourial characteristics that's been portrayed over the years by said Mercedes driver and one of the RedBull drivers, the Redbull driver is more likely to do what you described in your comment than the Mercedes driver... So let it rest, Checo is just relatively humble and doesn't disturb himself or fuss about trivial stuffs.
@@sakulhd8189 that doesn’t really proves the opposite tbh.. it shows there CAN be chill cooldowns (no pun intended) with Lewis around. But every time there IS tension he is also in the room. With that being said the vibe was great last time with Max Lando and Lewis, it was nice to see! I wish the fans at Silverstone would be as mature as the 3 gentlemen at the podium
Because charles doesn't push lol. He didn't try to be faster. Because he knew Nando will try to get to him in few last lap so his strats is to manage his own tyres. Basically using Nando strategy against him lol
@@SeraphsWitness i know, but if I'm not mistaken it's charles himself saying specifically for yesterday race, he knows that nando will use strategy he is usually using so charles is not even trying to catch rbr but instead happily saving his tyres to make sure he got enough to protect his p3 from nando.
At least Ferrari did a good job this weekend and got everything out of the car, Leclerc even outdrove the car. Strategy was right and the reliability was there as well. So. Let's see if they can keep this up and if Vasseur's influence will finally pay off. I believe in Charles, he can be third in the standings at the end, long way to go, but plenty of chances for him to catch up Sainz, Hamilton and Alonso
@@Firemariofloweri’m sad after Miami. it was basically everything that we knew would happen, but worse. I knew Charles would crash in quali from the second they mentioned that getting off the line lost all grip, and when he crashed in practice. it’s just the way he drives so i’m not mad at him for it. but then the race, he had so many problems in the car, the tyres were shit as we knew they would be, ferrari went for an undercut which is dumb on their tire deg, i think someone mentioned he had neck issues, yeah just a mess and how humiliating to be behind magnussen
I enjoyed watching the camaraderie between all of them. In reality they've all grown up together starting in Go-Karts. You know their skills are so close to each other that they all can put it on the podium when they have a car that can do it.
@@AIex777 maybe on street circuit yes But on normal circuits like Monza, spa, Austria and alot more i think there's no real treat for max Checo showed that he lacks on normal circuits
@@AIex777 ye that's true But it's the same the other way around If checo gets a dnf or something it's also over But I'm saying that on pure pace max is unstoppable on normal circuits On street circuits it's more exciting
@@AIex777 I'm also a max fan but seeing alonso win a wdc would be amazing but i am always cheering for max Are dutch btw because your name is also dutch
Awesome. I’m a bit annoyed that Checo only has 6 race wins in his career (and hopefully has the opportunity to add more now that he’s in a top team) but two of those 6 people have just taken his seat for P1. Idk but I don’t think I’ve ever seen any other driver have his “seat” taken, and he’s had his taken twice!
These guys are great. They understand the track is the track and of course they are gonna do what they have to. But regular guys off the track - known each other forever. Max's response to Lonzo's speed - WHAT?!? Love it. (Max gets a bad rap from those who hate anybody that wins)
These kids have no idea maybe checo what real competition and real drivers are.. Fernando is the last from an era that will never be eclipsed in terms of competition and raw talented drivers.. Fernando raced against Schumacher Mika Massa Montoya Vettel raikonnen and all on track at pretty much the same time too
What many don't know, is that Max was absolutely FUMING after that race, he then told his dad that he will never get beaten by Checo ever again, and it still holds true to this day
there are certain people when they enter the ring (track) their whole mood change. Its like a switch, they are friends, joke around and have fun but by the time the helmet comes on. that friend becomes a foe.
Fernando is such a sorta unsung legend. I've not seen a driver so adept at makint a vehicle 5 times as wide while defending and also sooper sneaky snek overraking. And that Indy race, he was strapped in to win like a BOSS and drove around all them boys. Then Honda was like "dude, wanna hear wremches being thrown down 4500 individual steps on a single staircase? No? Get fucked, we doin it anyhow...." Oof, man Such oof
Tough race for him! Surprising he’s still so chill. Potential means nothing, but still rooting for him to somehow finish behind Red Bull. Maybe it will still click for him!
Charles occupied every podium position during this race and after it. Pole at the start P2 during the safety car P3 at the end Parked his car P3 slot Stood on P2 spot on the podium P1 Chair in the cool down room
The way Max said Yea i was little bit unlucky there But it happens you know (sometimes) That was really meant for Checo and his wins when Max is unlucky
Max’s competition is Fernando. I mean he’s never directly raced against him and when he retired, Max said that it was a shame. Alonso’s starts and race pace are what make him the best on the grid because you can virtually race from wherever and get a good finish. Doesn’t matter where you qualify. It’s a better racecraft to have for any car you driving because you bank off of yourself when the lights go out, and then during the race you can pull tenths from out of nowhere. Max is the same way and is today’s Fernando Alonso. The new youngest race winner and one of the youngest world champions. The only champion of their country. One of the men had 0 interest in racing and the other was born to be a racer. Monaco was the Lighting McQueen and Doc story; where the younger guy edges out the old. But Fernando hasn’t fought for pole in years. Look at what he did with one year at a new team.
The most obvious point in that video was that Charles spent sp much concentration on what everyone else wss doing or did. Max was oblivious to what others were doing and just focussed and got on with the job. Is always said harder to be at the front when your are worrying about whos behind you thetefore not concentrating on your own driving performance. If you are at the front and continue to focus on your driving which got you to the front then thats where you stay.
Fernando taking the fourth fastest car on the grid and getting 3 podiums and 4th goes to show he’s probably driving the best out of anyone aside from maybe Max. Same story last year. Difference being his car isn’t imploding.
Funny thing is, even tho he missed the podium this time, thanks to the sprint race he still managed to close the race weekend with 15 points (the same amount of points you gain if you finish 3rd in a normal weekend)
