Hey I was that Johnny in the first game! Cook was yelling at me in endgame chat after that Danny save 😂 Recognized your anonymous name and I actually wondered if it was you lol, that was a fun game!
Sweet build. I want to try this with grappler and then also try to get 40 proficiency. And then maybe have a couple points left for endurance. I think that’d be so good. This build also combats blood builds really well which im seeing more of lately. 👌
Strength is like a bar with more you have it the more the bar will fill up but it wouldn’t affect the effect of a grapple so the more strength you got the more you will win a gapple
Also Strength definitely does affect winning grapples by how many taps you need, you need 10 and 50 strength makes it only need 5 taps to win. HOWEVER, toughness determines if you are actually going to win it, because of your health. That’s from what ive noticed as a 600+ escapes
I've seen a video where it's explained that the first player to reach 100 points wins the encounter. However, survivors get a massive headstart, and that's determined by their Endurance. Both killer and survivor tap normally count as 1 point, unless it's the Grandpa perk (1.2 points/tap) or that one survivor perk that makes you insta-win. However, the lower your health is, the less points you get per tap as survivor, and that's what gets you usually killed. I don't think Strength is a factor here. E: After seeing other comments, the headstart might be determined by Strength instead. Check it out.
max strengh on full grappler build is the way againt family who has grandpa perk and of course if you have more strengh the fight againt family is more effective
You should try and do a tracing build, what I mean is that play as Connie and put pick on me and exit strategy so that other victims can see one of the other doors highlighted as for the third perk it’s up to you
Try using full heart, it is rather useless in the early game when you know where everything is but later on when health is more scarce it could save precious seconds.
Idk if this is true but grapples kinda work like this, the family meber and victim each have a bar they both get about 3 points per press as default and they have to fill the bar to a number (i forgot what number) and the lower the victims health the less their taps give them and vice versa and the more strength they have the more of a headstart they earn. (The family granpa perk gives you like 0.6 more points per tap) dont trust this as completely true i heard this on a video i watch a while ago
Yeah I heard to, first to 100, 3 points per tap for both sides depending on victim health, 15 strength u start with 19 points, 30 u get 28, 35 u get 31 and 40 is 34 and 50 is 40. Suffocation grip is worth 3.6 per tap and grappler is 4.5 or 4.6 per tap Edit: also someone mentioned the lower ur health is the less points u start with but ur points per tap are the same.
I mean i have a build with leland that gives me so much stam, it's jumpstart, conditioned, grappler just to fight, just take a right keep going up until you see conditioned then keep going up then youll see jumpstart, salutes mate!
@@cheshire9786 both help, but toughness is too little to notice, what really helps is strength, and if you can spam the buttom you dont need any of them
Here is a bit of a fun fact I guess, since Middi said in the video that the Strength attribute for victims doesn't help with grapples (it does) it reminded me that the Savagery attribute for Family is the one that actually doesn't affect it. So when you win it it's either on the Victim being low health and/or low strength or they just didn't tap it quickly enough.
oh, so, family is just, designed to lose grapples. if only there was a mechanic where you auto died if you go caught grappling a family member... idk why but that gives me deja vu, like, it was in the game before
I admit I was wrong by saying that strength doesn’t matter against close counters a while ago, however it doesn’t effect the grapple grandpa perk. I feel like 100% of the time you lose the close encounter if you don’t have grappler
Every time middi references my telling him about the trap tech i feel validated, tried telling all the youtubers during weeks 1-3 of launch but gave up since nobody would do it. May not be referring to me specifically, but i ain’t see anyone else saying it as early as me so i’ll tell myself it’s all my tech 👺
Strength also does increase your chances of winning close encounters, as well as makes their duration shorter. So at super low health you can still win with high strength.
Y does it say nothing about helping in closing encounters except the stun time and I think one of the devs said it only effects the stun time in the grapple but I run max strength on Connie because I feel like it does help
@@cheshire9786when you get into close encounters you start at a certain number depending on health. Strength increases this number by .6 for every point after a certain threshold
@@cheshire9786so Connie’s 15 strength is very likely to lose even at full health vs Leland’s 40 basically being a guaranteed win at any health unless you don’t push the button fast enough.
