Great video! I’m considering using one of these high quality clutches as part of an electric start for My Ryobi 900 Propane Generator. We add an electric start system to the 1.5HP 40cc (60-70psi of compression) and the one way bearing assembly we use is making a lot of noise. We are now considering the use of a clutch, which may be a quiet solution once the engine is running. The clutch itself would only engage when the starter motor is spun. Mounting the centrifugal clutch to the starter motor, and the clutch housing which engages upon higher rpm, to the engine flywheel assembly. It’s the opposite of how a centrifugal clutch is often applied, however may work well for our application.
its sure will make it lighter with all thoes holes but it will comprimise the intergraity ,, the rest of the video was great and good information for sure
I have a question, on bicycles between the gear teeth are more pedal reaches more speed. Now if I change the gear to cluch by the star that leads the spoiler bar tires and I put Star cluch to the bar this would reach more serious speed or slower. but I am new at this I just finished my courses in welding and cnc machines and have many things that come to mind and before to spoil the best parts wonder.
In the sprocket part is the brass bushing suppose to be sticking out of the back some? Or is it flush with the front part? I took mine apart and it kinda got messed up and I think the brass bushing has moved some.
Can you please explain to me the purpose of altering that clutch and what that particular application will do for the minibike , or what ever that clutch is for. I'm really not mechanically inclined and I would be much appreciative if you can explain that to me.
My clutch is belt driven, but looks interchangeable w/ this chain driven type, correct?? They go for $60 at TSC, wish I'd gone ahead & got it. Thanks for sharing this, take care from Tn.
i have a max torque clutch and the bike has sat without running for around 6 years when you pull the throttle it doesnt want to grab at all it has been oiled but still nothing happens , please help
A different spring will change what rpm the clutch engages at. For example, if you feel your clutch is engaging at too low an rpm, you might want a stronger spring to keep the shoes from engaging too early.
i have a heat damaged. clutch who's spring has lost a bit of its tension i need a new clutch. or a new spring. can anyone suggest me a idea my go kart is engaging when i start it..
hello sir.., I am planing to use this clutch in my fuel efficient car...do you have any idea about its efficiency....weight reduction idea is best...i will definitely implement that.
Black spring does not go in that easy for the layman after they've done half a million like you maybe it's easy that someone who's done it like three or four times and failed and cussed you out to no end it doesn't work that way old man
