Times changes everything. 30yr ago all pilots are mortal enemies, not relationship between them except few ones. Today that young drivers feel like a friends, only need to see their online parties while Covid stop, was so funny!
@@Vince1648 and coz that I wrote "except few ones" Lauda and Hunt were good friends too. But that its so different, that young boys feels like a group of friends, they grow up togherer since they were childrens racing with Karts. I remembe last year in France, when Leclerc mistaked and DNF, Verstappen feels so sad on radio...and was her first rival in that race!
I like the fact that despite the fierce competition on the track (coughs max dominating all the time) they are all bunch of friends and a big family. I like that Max, Charles, Lando, George, Albon are like the same age, just bunch of young boys looking for some banter.
My Goodness... That young man Max is so relaxed before this race that he can perform THIS ??? Now I am convinced that - without a mechanical breakdown - he can win every race this year! 😮
I love seeing how Max has matured over the years, and also taken better control of his public image. Where he used to be (or at least was portrayed as) an icy, calculating, stone-faced hardass, now we can see his cheerfulness, witty sense of humor, and collegiality with both friends and rivals in the paddock. Add in the loving way he treats Penelope and my image of him is totally changed now. He's still not my favorite driver on the grid (it will always be sad boi Sharl) but I have so much more respect and appreciation for Max not only as a driver but also as a person.
LMAO no one has mentioned it yet but when nico comes in he says in Dutch "wat ben jij aan het kloten hier?" which means "what are you doing fucking around here?" i never knew i needed nice speaking dutch, but this was better than expected
I think Max is working on his personality and working on being more liked around the paddock, which is a nice thing to see. It is also nice to NOT see his father directing him what to do.
You really don’t know him. That has always bin his personality, ask all those guys he drives with. His father thought him to drive and what he does business wise and on track but never interfered with his personal lifestyle.
