Why do people think reaction time is so relevant to racing. The only benefit is the launch off the line, everything else is racecraft and knowing the track.
@@tamasgyorgy8537 you can see an accident is going to happen entire seconds before it actually does most of the time. Even if accident avoidance was entirely reaction time based it’s not really something most of the fastest drivers have to deal with often because they’re usually running up front.
The pilots then contacted The Apron frequency which explained that it is in actual fact C34A can be used if the adjacent ones are not in use. Therefore the gate is large enough to accomodate it. In my opinion ATC could have been more specific when saying C34. And let me make this clear. The Pilot was absolutely spot on with the judgement. Safety is No.1 for his passengers and crew, and personnel on the Apron. It doesnt hurt to be that extra careful. Just remember the A380 is the Largest passenger aircraft in the world so please vear that in mind.
The combination of all the things (like processing senses and actually moving) takes like .150-.160 seconds, so max is indeed correct, and that is why no F1 driver has had a faster reaction time without letting off the clutch with the lights still on
They had a similar app for BMX racing. Not sure if the gate system is still the same (it’s been 13 years) but there was a visual and auditory cue a random pause then the race would start when the lights went green and the go audio cue played. Unlike f1 you can’t jumpstart it but good god predicting the drop of the gate could boost you ahead since you pushed back and powered down through the dropping gatw
