Final thoughts in review:
-Easy set up and nice case with secure latch
-fast trigger time can be set from 0.2-0.6sec
-Captures subject in a timely manner as entering view
-Low Glow LED flash(as advertised on Amazon)
-2” color screen available to review videos & images
-Has endless capture video capability and you can set up blocks of recording time(but would likely need a 6V solar panel for that feature which I did not test)
-Recording length can be set up to 10 minutes in length which includes nighttime video
-also the shot lag between recordings can be set for 5sec to 1min.
- Good alkaline battery life, over 1000 video clips and over 400 photos in a month and still battery life available(at 2/3 capacity).
-Audio could be improved upon, does pick up certain sounds better when close for example: birds singing, a Buck grunting, deer stomping, and also loud distance sounds for example: a gunshot, sirens, etc
-IR Flash: there is a noticeable lag in flash brightness noted at beginning of video clips, position of subject does not affect this(central or off to side or out of view)
-micro SD cards are small so harder to work with and easier to lose than full sized SD cards, but you can use up to 512GB in size/ camera came with a 32GB card which was nice
Daytime & Transitional (grayscale Dawn to daytime/Dusk to Nighttime) video is good at all ranges. Nighttime video is best when subject is not in the central and closeup field of view as can be overexposed but when subject is off to the side it is not. Mid to mid-long range nighttime video is best
- subjects are noted to have less blur with movement at 1080p video setting. All video resolution settings are in manual as 30fps which may be a misprint as my video files at 2.7K are at 20fps in this video. I am currently using the 1080p setting and like that video quality(not in video)
**Overall, reasonably priced basic trail camera with additional benefits of 1520p video/28MP image quality for the budget minded individual with good battery life**

Great review Char!! Do we want noise - heck no! Now that is what I am talking about!! The camera must have quicker than .2 trigger speed. It was catching running deer as soon as they came into view. That’s cool! Videos look good! Enjoyed it!
@trailcameratexaswildlife9526
Thanks Dave! No noise lol! The camera did pretty well! I had the camera a bit higher on the tree than I usually do and angled it down a bit. I think it worked well. I am trying out the 1080p resolution right now and will try another site soon too. Take care, Char

how long do the duracell batteries last in this camera? seems like you have a busy spot there, thanks for the fantastic setup video . the video quality seems top notch.

Thank you. Right now this camera is taking about 150-200 20sec video clips and the batteries last for about 2.5 to 3 months depending on the wildlife activity. You could make the batteries last longer by setting the camera to trigger at less frequent intervals, make video clips shorter in duration, use photo mode only or in other ways. Because I live in an area with high temperatures most of the year the camera also goes through batteries a bit quicker. I generally use Energizer AA batteries but also use Duracells occasionally when on sale.

@yaesu101ee your welcome. Not sure about cellular camera capabilities but maybe a cellular security monitoring type of camera.

Can you set times for the camera to record, say “Record from 5pm to 5 am?
@trailcameratexaswildlife9526
@trailcameratexaswildlife9526 9 месяцев назад
Hi, so it has a feature called endless capture where yes you can set up blocks of time where the camera will continuously record when a subject is in front of the camera. I am not sure if it has a more traditional style of capture timer where you set it to let’s say record only at night then set 20 or 30sec intervals between for example 20 or 30sec length clips even if subject remains the camera goes off and re-triggers which saves on batteries. This camera is currently at another location recording since June and was checked in September so will not be checked for a while or I’d check for you. The description on seller’s Amazon does not include that feature. If I come across the manual I will let you know.
