Final thoughts in review:
-Easy set up and nice case with secure latch
-fast trigger time can be set from 0.2-0.6sec
-Captures subject in a timely manner as entering view
-Low Glow LED flash(as advertised on Amazon)
-2” color screen available to review videos & images
-Has endless capture video capability and you can set up blocks of recording time(but would likely need a 6V solar panel for that feature which I did not test)
-Recording length can be set up to 10 minutes in length which includes nighttime video
-also the shot lag between recordings can be set for 5sec to 1min.
- Good alkaline battery life, over 1000 video clips and over 400 photos in a month and still battery life available(at 2/3 capacity).
-Audio could be improved upon, does pick up certain sounds better when close for example: birds singing, a Buck grunting, deer stomping, and also loud distance sounds for example: a gunshot, sirens, etc
-IR Flash: there is a noticeable lag in flash brightness noted at beginning of video clips, position of subject does not affect this(central or off to side or out of view)
-micro SD cards are small so harder to work with and easier to lose than full sized SD cards, but you can use up to 512GB in size/ camera came with a 32GB card which was nice
Daytime & Transitional (grayscale Dawn to daytime/Dusk to Nighttime) video is good at all ranges. Nighttime video is best when subject is not in the central and closeup field of view as can be overexposed but when subject is off to the side it is not. Mid to mid-long range nighttime video is best
- subjects are noted to have less blur with movement at 1080p video setting. All video resolution settings are in manual as 30fps which may be a misprint as my video files at 2.7K are at 20fps in this video. I am currently using the 1080p setting and like that video quality(not in video)
**Overall, reasonably priced basic trail camera with additional benefits of 1520p video/28MP image quality for the budget minded individual with good battery life**
