Hi Paul, Thanks for the tips pal. My tip - Get up early and at your chosen location before dawn, so as to be ready for sunrise and dramatic images....... I haven't had any time recently (due to other commitments) and its driving me mad not be able to get out during daylight hours to photograph!! Hopefully March will be better for me (fingers crossed) Great image of the Kingfisher at 8.27 and the male Mallard at 10.30.

Good tips. I need to remember to get pictures of the lighter colored birds first. Due to my work schedule I do my wildlife photography in the morning. I was surprised to see a Mandarin duck in your video, I was also surprised to find we have one near me that I have gotten pictures of. Living in the PNW near Seattle Washington, there shouldn't be any wild Mandarin ducks here.

Cheers Paul. Jays I don't think are any different to most birds. Mostly early morning for me. If you can collect some acorns you might tempt them closer.

Hello sir, I have a question for you, I recently acquired a 500mm f4 mki, together with r5 it’s a very good and affordable for me, the question is , this lens vr is always active regarles if I’m half press AF-on or not, I can hear while walking the vr sounds in the lens, camera settings continuous tracking is off, do this happens with yours?

Interesting. No, I have not heard of that. You might not be able to stop it unless you physically switch off on the lens.

@@PaulMiguelPhotography but what I meant is, while I’m walking I can hear the vr on the lens working and what I’m afraid is that is draining the battery

@@elwelkin I guess it's something in the R5 settings - or perhaps some compatibility with older lenses and the new mirrorless camera. Yes you are right, it will use more battery. I am really not sure. Hope someone else can help out here.
