This band is incredible and they sound GREAT live...wish there were more live videos on RU-vid...I had to go elsewhere to get this! Songs: 1) What’s Up people 2) Maximum the Hormone 3) F 4) Mesubata no Ketsu ni Binta
I smiled the whole time lol. Now that's a party! Would love to be in a crowd like that. And musically these guys are great. U never know what direction a song is going
you may not understand what they say because they are Japanese but don't worry, I'm Japanese but I don't know:) 彼らは日本人だから何て歌ってるか分からないかもしれないけど、日本人の自分も何言ってるか分からないんだ
Yep, it's the dragon ball Z movie music theme song. F for Frieza ( a DBZ character ). You can also find the song with "Fukkatsu No F" By the way that's my request if you're okay :)ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nsi9HEmZl9Y.html
Saw these guys in 2008 when they toured with the dropkick murphys. They were the first of 4 bands on the stage. But they blew away the other 2 opening acts.
I agree...it's not common and these guys sound fantastic. Myself and a lot of reactioners compare MTH to System Of A Down but I've seen SOAD live in person and also a ton of live videos. They're alright but they have the same instrumentation and MTH is so much better.
revi Japanese take their equipment seriously. A lot of live music sounds really good over there. Every time I go I catch a couple of shows and it could be some no name band with 20 albums sold and they're going to sound great live
I fucking love this japanese guys, they are really amazing. They have came to Mexico and I can say it was awesome. It was at Knotfest and their show lasted 1 hour, I was there because of them. I hope they come back again but only them.
These guys are sick. They're the only band to fuse the Ska, hardcore, deathcore, punk, and pop stuff really well. Probably will be the only band to do it too. In 50 years time, people are going to look back and praise this band for its creativity.
They had to stop live performance recently(because their drummer NAO was pregnant). But fortunately,we could have too much excitement on their lives from this summer! Especially, SUMMER SONIC2017 in Osaka( main stagium),it was unbelievable line-up. Maximum the hormone, Man with the mission, babymetal and Foo Fighters. At that time, almost funs were truely knocked down! These groups are ausome!!!
Saw them in Cologne a couple of years ago and it was more than worth the 550 Km trip to experience MtH. Loved them before and even more since them. Never felt such a constant power oozing from the stage: they grabbed the audience from the first second and never let go again (despite the long Japanese speeches after every 3rd/4th song - that‘s how they can stay in „beast mode“, as you put it, during the songs). If you get the chance, don‘t miss them! Great video, btw. 👍🏻😉
Hey buddy, first of all: love ur videos, keep it up with the j-rock reactions. Also, I have two full live shows of them (it's rlly hard to find live stuff of them). I can send it to ya if u want.
Poor translation: I'm Japanese. Thank you to listening to Maximum The Hormone 🎵 In Japan we call the fan of Maximum The Hormone as "HARAPEKO" = Hungry stomach. I wish to be increase the number of the HARAPEKOS. PS Sorry to write in Japanese cause I don't speak English.
Yoichi M Deathnote was a phenomenon in the US and it happened right at the inception of the anime movement over here. when the anime came out every Deathnote/anime fan was exposed to this band and sought out their music.
11:53 the irony about that is they're all in their 40s lol. Japanese genes my friend. On that note, Nao (the drummer) and Ryo (guitarist) are brother and sister, with Ryo being the younger of the two.
Last one on this video tho but if you want to see an amazing drummer check out anything by crossfaith, there's a solo by him which is worth a reaction video itself. Tatsuya Amano solo
Does anyone know the English phonetic title for the song they have a video here on YT that is shot nighttime at a school? The photo still is of the 4 of them as school kids, drawn in chalk and at one point in the video there are long Japanese scripts drifting up the dark, exterior walls of the building. The song itself starts off acoustic, with the girl singing soft and girlie, then she hits a primal growl and the goes slow and sludgy for awhile. Within a minute or so, things pick up to a upbeat funky tempo before advancing to an all-out raw punkish metal slam pit style sound. I'd provide a link here to the video, but my YT savvy is still a bit limited. I am trying to figure out which CD has this song on it so I can make my first purchase on the band site! Thanks.
