You're on fire with the mind reading. I was just learning this the other day thinking to myself, "I hope the In the Mix guy does this". These stock plugin tutorials you're putting out are just golden. Thank you for being awesome!
I love how you apologise for one tiny mistake. Just shows how much you care about your channel and about not wasting our time. Quality channel right here. And by the way we forgave you before the mistake was even made!
as always, its amazing how much you can still learn even though you thought you had it mastered. I have been using maximus for YEARS now as a mastering tool and compressor in general. Still, even I learned stuff I didn't know about before. I'm not overexaturating when I say that this is propably the best producing tutorial channle in this whole platform. have been recommending you to my friends and clients for quite a while and will keep on doing it. amazing content.
Another great tutorial man. I've learned so much from you! Bro, I am not gonna lie to you I would kill somebody just to see a video of you mixing and mastering a song from the very begining explaining every move that you make. Even if that video was like 2-3 hours I would still watch that.
Honestly knowing how to use maximus has made arguably the greatest difference to my development. It really is that "missing piece", used for picking up the bottom of the mix, and doing it in style. The stereo separation is great, it would be good to have panning per band also.
Bro, just wanted to let you know that you're my go-to for any FL Studio tutorials. Always very clear and thorough. You have a natural gift for teaching. Thanks for helping others the way you do.
It's my first comment here. Cause I'm from an African french speaking country. But thank you guy for giving high quality content like these. Helps me a lot ( as a beginner ). And I apply it to the genre I'm producing. Still learning.
I come back here every now and then , whenever I forget something, cause there's so many things Maximus does. Hands down the best tutorial out there. You helped A LOT !
As a 23 year user of FL Studio and love using the DAW, the most frustrating thing about FL Studio is it's weird and bizarre way of making plugins that just confuse people. They don't stick to industry standards instead make weird ways of doing simple tasks that require more learning and slow down the most important thing and that is the part of actually making music.
Hat's off to you sir Max... I really appreciate this video! This video feels special nd spooked me because don't know if you saw my exact request from last weeks video on sytrus sound design lol. Thank you!
The multiple curves compression thing was amazing! I've never heard or thought of it. I guess it can be used as a compressor, a noise gate, and even a transient processor at the same time. Maximus is such a powerful tool
And as a waveshaper when the attack, sustain and release are on 0. That's the only difference between fruity waveshaper and maximus... so 3-band saturation/distortion, exciter that is. Kinda freaking cool! I pretty much use maximus for all tracks
nenissaK have been using the saturation on fruity limiter with the attack release and sustain on 0 and didn’t exactly know what it was doing it was jus something I did by accident but now I know it’s using it as a waveshaper. Thanks 🤙
That, folks, is quality assurance.. He went and watched his whole video first, looked out for mistakes, fixed it, before releasing to public. Good job on that, Michael. Again, thank you for making complex tools easy to understand.
It is easy to take videos like yours and many others for granted, because of how fast paced life is with the internet. Just wanted to say thank you for making this playlist. Great work!
*Future Michael speaking* I love how even when making mistakes you manage to teach us something: mistakes are not a problem. Actually I quite love the graph of maximus now - the reading input and output is kinda easier to understand than other compressors where you have to know what a dial does and then kinda imagine what will happen when you turn a knob.
Thank you very much 🙏 could you make a video on how people should begin learning to know when plugin (compression/transient/reverb etc.) to use, if you want to get a certain sound
For the first time in a video, I didnt learn anything directly but somehow getting Michael's fresh look at it does inspire me to use it differently, to re-evaluate how my understanding hasn't changed in these last 5 years or so. Thank you michael!
Thanks for the tutorial! I actually already used Maximus a lot, but I didn't knew about the sustain part so I'm really glad you mentioned all knobs about this plugin :D
Around the 3 minute mark, you were describing the colors of the bands. I noticed you also gave the colors that the color blind might see. I am not color blind, but respect for looking out for everyone 👍 Subtleties like that tell me you're a good person. Cheers!
I use maximus but I didn't knew anything about it in detail. I only used it either for Mastering presets, deeser preset or give a mono background track fake stereo effect by separating the bands in three different inserts. Thanks for going into detail. I think I will use this plugin more than before from now.
It's impressing how your video are just perfect, in all point. I'm from the french part of Switzerland and your english is very clear too. Please continue like this.
I have used Maximus since I started. Always thankful for more insight. Disappointed you didn't go more into 'maximizing' but in the tyle of music you work with I understand. In my 'epic orchestra' stuff I use some maximizing on the master channel 99.9% of the time. It is definitely one of the 'secret sauce' settings in that genre IMO. Thanks again Michael!
Man... you give your 100% to your videos and maintain the quality which shows your hardwork. I liked the video first ...then watch it😎..You are #1 of the best RU-vidrs I have seen 😘.. keep going👏
The dynamics graph has helped me so much with shaping percussive sounds to match the song. The saturation algorithm on Maximus and Fruity Limiter are great if you learn how to use them
I actually Taught my self on how to use Maximus But Michael has Cleared my creativity by giving me more tips and now am becoming a better sound engineer daily. Much Love from Kenya
I love this channel! Even when I'm familiar with a plugin I always watch these videos because they're presented so well, and there are a lot of great tidbits throughout
Thanks a lot Michael! I saw this tutorial 3x, and every time I learn something new. You changed for better my productions. I desire all success for you!
I needed this video. I'm trying to get back into understanding stock more. Been on FL since 2005. Always resorted to third party plugins. You make me wanna use Maximus now. Thank you brother.
i used to just browse your videos but I've decided to be one of your Subscriber. love from Zimbabwe. 💯 Imageline should endorse you bruv coz you're great.
I'd like you to know that, in my opinion, you've got incredible teaching skill. Regardless of it being complex or not for my level of understanding, I actually understood everything. Thanks for sharing such skills and knowledge with us.
there is no way :DD I didnt expect I would understand compression on maximus much better than on actual limiter :D u explained it so perfectly :D on limiter I was so confused what ratio is, now I understand! awesome
